Holy Spirit is prompting me to write this Word because SOMEONE(s) needs to hear it…There is an urgency that exists now more than ever for you to hear this Word. He is saying:
I have called you for a time such as this! You have been restless in your spirit, that is Me stirring up the pot of you. I did not call you to be complacent. I am putting a fire under you, a yearning for more. The harvest is ripe, but the workers are few. Have you given your life to Me? Then you must heed this Word. Trust me! Lean on me! I have a work to do in you if only you will hear My voice and listen! I have given you gifts and talents that I want you to use! The results will be a blessing to you and will further My Kingdom. I have called you by name! You are mine! Step out in faith and allow Me to activate that gift in you! It is not by power, not by might but by MY Spirit! There are people who need what I’m calling you to do! Souls will be saved; lives will be changed by your obedience to this Word. I am asking you to be My hands and feet! My vessel! You will find fulfillment, you will find peace, joy and love by walking in obedience to the calling I have created you for when I knit you together in your mother’s womb. True contentment is found ONLY in Me! Your steps are ordered BY Me, but you must CHOOSE to step out by faith in ALL I have for you to do. Trust not in your own abilities, but in Me as you can do NOTHING in and of yourself. Watch and see what I will do through you if only you obey my calling. I am calling you for a time such as this.
God never told us life would be easy, it wasn’t by any means easy for Jesus – He could have called legions of angels to assist Him, but He did not! Jesus fulfilled the Father’s will for His life – He gave His life as a ransom for you! For us! I can attest to you, through my own walk of 36 years that He has NEVER forsaken me, even during the times when I have “gone my own way.” As an ex-prodigal I can tell you that there TRULY was NO greater joy for me than realizing that it is nothing but God’s love, His grace, His mercy and His forgiveness that keeps me going.
GOD LOVES YOU SO VERY MUCH!
There is NO greater joy than knowing Him as Lord OVER my life, especially in THIS day and age where chaos runs rapid. There truly is a “peace that passes ALL understanding” in walking in obedience to God’s calling. It is humbling to know that God has chosen YOU to be His vessel! What an honor! What a privilege! The King of Kings wants YOU to be used BY Him!!!! Maybe it is by being an intercessor, maybe it is by being a scribe! Maybe it is by being a missionary – you can be a missionary in your OWN neighborhood! Maybe it is by pastoring or being an evangelist or teacher! I don’t know what it is that God is calling you to do, but I can tell you that there truly is NO greater joy than walking in what the Creator has created you to do! If you don’t know what that is:
ASK HIM!
There have been moments in my life when Holy Spirit quietly has asked me about certain individuals in my life:
“Are you going to talk to them today, tell them about me?”
It has never been “an order” but a simple quiet question. Because we have free-will and we always have a choice as to what we are going to do. But I will share with you that the last time Holy Spirit whispered that in my ear, at first, I hesitated because the person He was asking me to speak to was someone I had been praying for, for 36 years. Someone who had belittled me at times, someone I love very much. Someone who at times mocked my faith or looked down at me, someone who did NOT see the need for God in their lives. Someone who had times, brought me great pain because of my faith. Listen Beloved Reader – Jesus was NOT accepted in His own hometown! He was mocked and ostracized and hated! Don’t BE surprised if you go through the SAME things BECAUSE of your faith! Because of your willingness to lay down your life for Him! John 15:18-21 Jesus says this:
“If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours. But all these things they will do to you on account of my name, because they do not know him who sent me.”
Luke 6:22 says:
“Blessed are you when people hate you and when they exclude you and revile you and spurn your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man!
1 Peter 4:12-14 says:
“Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice insofar as you share Christ’s sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed. If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.”
To continue on with my story, I chose to obey Holy Spirit’s request and shared with this person how very MUCH God loved them. How God loved them enough to leave the glories of Heaven to meet them RIGHT here where they are at! (It doesn’t get MORE personal than that)! He clothed Himself in humanity (Jesus), lived a sin-less life and chose to take UP the sins of the world (yours and mine) upon His shoulders and die a death that He did NOT deserve. He was crucified on the cross, died and rose again to restore a rightful relationship for us with God the Father, as our sacrificial Lamb. He is seated at the right-hand of the Father interceding even now on OUR behalf! And ALL we have to do is accept His gift of salvation, give OUR lives over to Him by making Him Lord OVER our lives! Well, I will tell you that unbeknown to me – Holy Spirit had allowed the things that had occurred in this person’s life to bring them to the point of realization that they needed to do this, simply pray and accept Jesus as Savior, make Him Lord OVER their lives because they realized that they needed Him. He had broken up through their circumstances the hardness of heart and the things that were keeping them from the realization that what they needed WAS Him. And they chose to accept Jesus as their Savior. Holy Spirit knew that this person was ready, but He wanted me to be the vessel to minister salvation to this person that I had prayed for, for 36 years! I COULD have said no to what He was asking me, I COULD have concentrated on the times I had been mocked or ridiculed for my faith in Him. I COULD have stayed stuck in the pain of those moments – but how could I do that, when 36 years ago Holy Spirit used someone else, who was willing to be a vessel to minister the Gospel of Jesus Christ to me???
Listen – shortly thereafter that person died. I didn’t know that was going to happen – but Holy Spirit did! That is WHY He was urgently prompting me to be obedient to what it had been He had been asking me to do! We only see in part, but God sees in FULL. I write this because the Father is concerned with SAVING souls! There are things that the Father WANTS you to do FOR Him, Jesus gave His life FOR YOU! How wonderful a thing to live our lives out in the calling God has called us and then, once we have “finished” this race called life – we go to Heaven and are greeted with hugs by people we don’t even know because in obedience to being a vessel for Holy Spirit to DO His good and perfect work THROUGH us, souls got saved… Imagine someone coming up and saying to you:
“Thank you so much for what you wrote, or what you said, or what you did – it is because of that I chose to accept Jesus as my Savior, made Him Lord OVER my life. It is because of your obedience that I am here today!”
Whew! For me – there would be NO greater joy! NO GREATER JOY. I pray that this Word ministers to you and encourages you to seek what it is God has called you to do with your life! It doesn’t matter if you are 7 years old, 15 years old, 20 years old, 60 years old, 80 years old! It does NOT matter! If you have breath in your body, God has work for you to do!!!!! Remember, we can do NOTHING in and of ourselves, but HE can! We ONLY have to say YES.
