Grumbling or Gratitude?

Are you grumbling at God? God delivered the Israelites from Egypt and at first they were thankful but when the journey did not go according to “how they felt it should” – they grumbled at God…
We are no different than the people of that time. We are living in a time when instead of counting blessings people complain. Negative Nellies will always find fault in what’s around them. Instead of counting their blessings they become fault finders.
How sad this must make the Father. It’s like giving a gift to someone who doesn’t appreciate it. The Israelites ended up having to wander in the desert because their grumbling negated the faith that God desired them to walk in. How frustrating that must have been for Moses. He couldn’t GIVE them his trust and faith in God because the people had to develop it for themselves…

When I went through breast cancer 11 years ago, God gave me a choice. He told me I could become “bitter” or “better” – I chose better because I realized that EACH day is a gift. We seem to think that we are promised tomorrow. We are NOT.

Are you thankful for the gift of today? What are you focusing on as you wake up today? “The joy of the Lord is my strength.” (Nehemiah 8:10)

Count your blessings because they truly ARE all around you, you just have to focus on them.

“Thank You Father for all You have given me and brought me through. Forgive me for grumbling and focusing on my worries and my problems. Instead I choose to place those things in Your capable hands, to bring those things that trouble me to Your attention because I know You have ordained my steps. I choose this day to trust in YOU. In Jesus name I pray. Amen”
