Some times we stand in our own way…. And we don’t even realize it… So busy blaming others or situations that we don’t deal with the true issue at hand… We do exactly what Adam and Eve did in the garden of Eden and point fingers at others or make excuses instead of looking at the real problem at hand. Sometimes that problem that we find ourselves in is because of our own choices, our own doing.
Sometimes the problem is us standing in our own way. Stop justifying your situation and go to the Father and do a deep look at yourself. Quiet the noise around you and look at yourself. We are ALL works in progress, as long as we have breath in our bodies God is able to change what needs changing about us – should we bring the REAL problem before Him. Do a deep cleanse of self and have a one on one with Him. No need to bring anyone else into the conversation- pull up a chair before Him, just you and the Father and let Him know the “good, bad and the ugly” of you – Hey, it won’t come as a surprise to Him, He ALREADY knows you- facing the things we need to bring before the Father is called “repentance” it’s the point where He pulls up His chair (since you were willing to do so too, He’s been waiting for you to do it) and He’ll respond and bring about the change within you that you have just figured out you can’t go about doing yourself. His response to your confession and need for help will be JUST the thing to turn your situation around. Your not in life alone, He just wants you to come to a point where you realize that you need Him and together He will help you be ALL that He created you to be.
Oh yes, He can “move” the mountain of you, you just have to ask… If you feel that way, how about praying the following?
“Father, I’ve been so busy making excuses, pointing fingers, playing the blame game… Even blaming ol’ slewfoot when actually I see, the problem is ME. Forgive me and help me be able to move forward. Help me Lord to be ALL that I need to be to be successful in my calling, in my family, in my marriage, on my job, in my finances, in any and every way I am missing it – I repent and I declare and decree that I NEED YOU to bring about the changes needed in ME. Father, I confess I don’t know HOW to move out of my own way! Help me so that I can move forward. Thank you for Your forgiveness, mercy, grace and love. Please bless me Father and help me to move forward in You. Thank You Lord for being there and listening, I don’t have all the answers so I’m coming to the One who does. I love You Father, touch my life and be glorified. In Jesus name I pray – Amen.”
