Have you ever had a time where you are praying about something you are going through and you have done EVERYTHING you can but nothing seems to be happening?
DON’T LOSE HEART – YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT GOD IS DOING BEHIND THE SCENES!
It is so easy to get discouraged at times like that, but the truth of the matter is – there is a lot going on behind the scenes in the spiritual realm and this is where trusting in God is important! Keeping your eyes focused on Him and NOT on the situation. If you have accepted Jesus into your heart as your Savior, turned your life over to Him you can trust that even if you feel OUT of control, He is STILL in control. He’s got you! No situation is higher or above Him! Psalm 37:23 tells us:
The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and He delighteth in his way.
The Bible also tells us in Ephesians 6:11-17:
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication.
I testify to you that in the 36 years I have lived with Christ as my Savior, He has ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS provided for me. He has ALWAYS been with me through the good times and the hard! There have been times when as in the case with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego – He has been the 4th person in the fire of life with me!
GOD DOESN’T LOVE AS PEOPLE LOVE – HE WILL NEVER FAIL YOU! HE WILL NEVER LEAVE NOR FORSAKE YOU! HIS WAYS ARE NOT “OUR” WAYS! YOU CAN TRUST HIM!
The one thing we need to remember is that God is calling us to trust Him! To walk BY faith and NOT by sight! Remember when Jesus called Peter to step out upon the water, Peter ONLY began to sink when he took his eyes of Jesus and put them on his circumstances.
DON’T BE MOVED BY THIS WORLD! PRAY! PRAY! PRAY! AND BELIEVE!
It so important that we remember that praise is one of our weapons of warfare! Praise God through it all! Why? Because He is in control! Because you can trust Him! Because He has GOT you! Because if you belong to Him – your steps are ALREADY ordained BY Him! Because He will NEVER fail you! Because He knows what BEST for you is!
Hey, I GET it! Waiting is hard! We live in such a microwave society that we want what we want NOW! But God’s best for us is SOOOOOO much better than whatever we could come up with for ourselves! Sometimes He allows us to be in waiting mode to see if we WILL trust Him! Hey – look at Sarah and Abraham when God promised them that they would have a child! They waited and waited and waited until in the eyes of the world it would be IMPOSSIBLE at Sarah’s age to conceive!
NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE WITH GOD!
They decided to take matters in their own hands and to have Abraham lie with Sarah’s handmaid – thinking:
“Okaaaaay, we are gonna help God out with this…”
AS IF GOD NEEDS YOUR HELP!
In doing so, they made a grand mess of things. You can read about it in the Book of Genesis 16:1-16.
We don’t NEED to help God, we NEED to TRUST God and if He has us in a time of “wait” then we need to do that – JUST wait!
God is faithful, God is trustworthy, God is sovereign. Waiting helps us remember that God did not create us to be dependent upon ourselves, but on Him! Waiting is a time where we REST in Him! Waiting can be a time of blessing if we don’t let anxiety and fear try to come in.
Wait on the Lord, again I say it – wait on the Lord and SEE what He does… It will be an added testimony to your repertoire of what God can and Will do in the life of you! He IS faithful – just wait and see!
