When it comes to the end of my life, I will be standing before the Father and I will be standing there without any one standing there with me holding my hand. YOU will not BE there with me giving an account of my life – you can’t, just like I won’t be there when you stand before Him giving an account of your life – BUT guess what?
Jesus will be there with me and every accusation that the accuser makes about me will probably be true (and I will wince and grimace at the mention of my sins and my faults and my weaknesses),
BUT here is the thing – with every accusation and mentioned sin of mine Jesus will probably rise and say “she received Me as her Lord and Savior, she made me Lord over her life – therefore she has been blood bought by me and I have washed her white as snow.”
Will He say the same of you??? Jesus has died on the cross for forgiveness of yours (and my sins). The Bible tells us, “our righteousness is as filthy rags” (Isaiah 64:6)
You CANNOT be “good enough” – the only way you can come before the Father is through His Son, the Messiah, Jesus Christ.
He IS the Way, the Truth and the Life. The ONLY way to come before the Father.
Please take my words seriously, think on them because not one of us is promised tomorrow.
We have NOW. NOW is the time of salvation. Today marks the one year anniversary that our previous 59 year old neighbor died unexpectedly, died of a cardiac arrest on the floor of his bathroom – alone. My heart still hurts for his family, he did not know he was going to die. He was a wonderful man, I pray he is with the Lord.
We aren’t promised tomorrow, may the Holy Spirit minister God’s truth to you and may you know the love of God in the fullness He intended you to know Him.
“God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that Whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
