Here’s the thing – the thing that everything inside of you is telling you, you don’t have it in you to do – is the thing God wants you to place down beneath the cross.
All of the “But God…” or the “Lord, you SAW what he/she/they did!…” All the “Lord, why didn’t You…” All the areas you feel justified in not forgiving. All the areas where you find your self gritting your teeth, crossing your arms in front of your chest. You know the area I am talking about….
You’ve been replaying what happened over and over again in your head, in your mind – feeling very justified and maybe it’s been weeks, months, years… And you want justice!!
You want God to DO Something about whatever it is…
How do You know He isn’t doing something behind the scenes?
How do you know that your act of obedience in giving it to Him isn’t the FIRST step of faith on allowing Him to move forward?
How do you know that your delay in letting whatever it is go isn’t the JUST ingredient God is waiting for to act on whatever needs doing??!
There stands Jesus before you – the one Who can TRULY say:
“Hey – I get it! I’ve been there! I know! There is NOTHING you are going through or have gone through that I am not familiar with! Betrayal? I know it well! Sickness and pain? Gossip? Abandonment? Loneliness? These are just to name a few! I know it! Yet still, I forgave/forgive you!!!”
Can you picture Jesus standing before you saying that? Yet STILL He forgave you!!! (Still He forgave me!)
Who are we not to forgive someone else when God Himself came down in the form of man (because He is a PERSONAL God and you are “personal” to Him) gave His life for YOU. He was crucified, died, rose from the dead and is seated at the right hand of the Father interceding on behalf of you. He knows! He understands! He sees! He gets it! But sometimes the things you are longing to have Him fix or deal with require some type of act of faith or dying to yourself in order for Him to answer your prayer.
Is God speaking to you right now? Is this post hitting a nerve? One act of obedience really can be the only thing it takes for God to move in a situation. It’s not easy, He didn’t say it would be – it’s trusting in Him, listening, obeying and watching to see what God can do.
He just might be waiting on you…😉🙏🙏🙏❤️
