The Battle Belongs to the LORD!

We are subjects that exist in the middle of a spiritual war that has been going on waaaaaaay before you were ever born!  It doesn’t matter if you choose to believe it or not, your *not* believing it does not nullify the fact that it is true.   Another fact that is true is that you get to use your free-will to pick which side you are on.

YOU ARE EITHER PART OF GOD’S CALLED REMNANT – A FOLLOWER OF CHRIST, OR YOU ARE NOT.

YOU ARE EITHER FOR GOD OR AGAINST HIM

There is no middle ground.  I know that may be hard news to some, but I’m called to speak the truth.  I am accountable before God as one of His Scribe’s to honor Him with what I write. I write the truth of what I know.  The truth of what I have experienced.  

WE ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF A SPIRITUAL WAR

When did it begin?

Take a look at Revelations 12:7-12:

Now war arose in heaven, Michael and his angels fighting against the dragon. And the dragon and his angels fought back, but he was defeated, and there was no longer any place for them in heaven. And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him. And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God. And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death. 

Isaiah 14:12-15 says:

“How you are fallen from heaven, O Day Star, son of Dawn! How you are cut down to the ground, you who laid the nations low! You said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; above the stars of God I will set my throne on high; I will sit on the mount of assembly in the far reaches of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.’ But you are brought down to Sheol, to the far reaches of the pit.”

You see?  He is the enemy of God. He tried to rise above God, thinking He could be worshiped AS God.  Can you believe it?  Because it is true.  The devil, who had once been a beautiful guardian cherub – take a look at Ezekiel 28:13-19:

“‘You were the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone adorned you: carnelian, chrysolite and emerald, topaz, onyx and jasper, lapis lazuli, turquoise and beryl, your settings and mountings were made of gold; on the day you were created they were prepared. You were anointed as a guardian cherub, for so I ordained you. You were on the holy mount of God; you walked among the fiery stones. You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created till wickedness was found in you. Through your widespread trade you were filled with violence, and you sinned. So I drove you in disgrace from the mount of God, and I expelled you, guardian cherub, from among the fiery stones. Your heart became proud on account of your beauty, and you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor. So I threw you to the earth; I made a spectacle of you before kings. By your many sins and dishonest trade, you have desecrated your sanctuaries. So I made a fire come out from you, and it consumed you, and I reduced you to ashes on the ground in the sight of all who were watching. All the nations who knew you are appalled at you; you have come to a horrible end and will be no more.’”

Truth is truth no matter if you choose to believe it or not does not negate the fact that YOU are in the MIDDLE of a spiritual battle.  It is occurring ALL around you. But here is the GOOD news! John 3:16:

“God so loved the world, that He gave His ONLY begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, shall NOT perish but have EVERLASTING life.”

If you have chosen of your own free-will to accept the gift of salvation that God has provided to bring Him to the winning side of this war – HIS SIDE.  If you have made Jesus Lord OVER your life – you belong to Him!  How do you do this? Just pray this with me, it only takes you to make a decision for Christ, a gift that costs you NOTHING but cost Jesus EVERYTHING.  Pray with me:

“Father God, I thank You for bringing me to this post.  I didn’t know that there was a war going on all around me, but now after reading these words, I know.  I CHOOSE Your side, Lord!  I thank You for the gift of salvation and I choose to receive it! I ask that you forgive me for my sins and wash me with the precious blood of Jesus. Jesus, thank You for taking my sins upon Your sin-less body.  Thank You for dying on the cross to enable me to be in a right relationship with God the Father!  I choose THIS day to accept You as my Savior! Make You Lord OVER my life. I believe that You were born of the virgin Mary, that You lived a sin-less life and chose to die on the cross for forgiveness of my sins.  That You rose from the dead, defeating satan and are even now seated on the right-hand of the Father interceding in my behalf, and that You will come again! I have the victory through You!  Thank You Father God for sending Your Son!  Thank You Jesus for ALL You have done for me!  Come Holy Spirit, reign in my heart!  I CHOOSE YOU!  In Jesus’ precious and mighty name, I pray!  AMEN!”

If you prayed that prayer, you truly are on the winning side of this war – the enemy has ALREADY been defeated!  Jesus is going to come again!  He said these words to the Disciples before He ascended into Heaven following His resurrection.  Read John 14:2

“In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.”

If you prayed the above prayer, I am beyond certain that joy and peace has filled your heart!  You have made the MOST important decision (for Christ) that YOU will EVER make! But remember, you are STILL in the middle of a spiritual war that is occurring all around you.  You need to follow Ephesians 6:10-18:

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore, put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. “

You also need to read what I call “the warrior’s instruction book of life”  🙂  I’m talking about the Bible.  The Bible is God’s love letter to us!  It is filled with EVERYTHING you need to equip you to get through this thing called life!  It is important to get God’s Word IN you so that you can battle ANYTHING the enemy throws your way with your sharpest weapon!

THE WORD OF GOD!

As you read the Bible, Holy Spirit will help you to hide it in your heart! And will bring front and center the scriptures you need to sustain you in your walk with Christ as you go through life!  Hey – I’m speaking from personal experience! 🙂  Look at ALL the scriptures that are contained in this post alone!  That’s Holy Spirit’s doing, not mine! I attest to you

GOD IS REAL!  HE LOVES YOU! HE WILL NOT LEAVE YOU OR FORSAKE YOU!  YOU BELONG TO HIM AND IF YOU HAVE MADE A DECISION FOR CHRIST, YOU BELONG TO HIM!

I’m not going to lie to you and tell you that you won’t encounter hard times, remember – although we have the VICTORY in CHRIST JESUS, we are STILL in the middle of a war!  Jesus IS coming back!  But for the time being, we – His Called Remnant are here for a reason!  There are still MANY who are being deceived! Many who do NOT know that we are in the middle of a war!  Many who NEED to come to know Jesus and ALL God has done for them!  We are accountable for what we know!  God wants you to SHARE this Word with someone!  That they will ALSO be saved!  God IS calling you for a reason!  Will you take a stand with Him?  Will you tell people of His love?  Help others to choose to come to the winning side?  He is calling you to share His Word with others!  To TELL them of His love!  The warfare IS real, you have made an enemy (the devil) now that you have accepted Christ!  The Bible says in Luke 15:10:

“There is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”

Hey!  The angels are throwing a HUGE party rejoicing over you right now!  You TRULY belong to God!  FOREVER!  You are His! \0/ \0/ \0/

I don’t want you to be surprised by the warfare you might undergo because of your decision for Christ. But know that the battle BELONGS to the Lord. He IS with you!  He IS our victory! Next to having the Word of God to direct you, prayer and communicating with the Father is key!  Talk to Him!  Let Him reveal Himself to you! He will!  Once you accepted Jesus as your Savior, made Him Lord OVER your life Holy Spirit was sent to live inside your heart.  Holy Spirit is your Instructor, He is the BEST Teacher I know!  He will direct your steps; you only need to still yourself and listen!  He WILL be your Guide through ALL you go through in life!  You CAN trust Him!  Remember, the battle belongs to the Lord and the victory has ALREADY been won!  Welcome to the winning side!  God’s got you, you ARE His!
