The Bible says in Ephesians 6:13:
“When you have done all you can, just stand.”
It seems like it should be the simplest thing to do, but I have found it to be one of the hardest…Who would have thought “standing firm” would have been SO hard? Not figuring out for yourself, not fidgeting going back and forth over the situation or what you should do in your mind, JUST standing FIRM in Christ.
This is where the rubber hits the road. This is where you really have to bring whatever it is to the foot of the cross and give it to God. This is where you don’t try to figure it out yourself once you have given over to God. This is where trust comes in. This is also where the devil tries to attack your thoughts on the battleground of your mind. Don’t let Him.
This is where anxiety, depression and worry try to steal ground. Don’t let them! This is where you bring to that battlefield (your mind) ALL the ways that Jesus has blessed you and provided for you and guided you in the past. This is where you allow Holy Spirit to bring front and center to your mind the promises of God!
This is where your faith is tested, do you choose to believe God or allow your circumstances (your Goliath) to be BIGGER than your God. This is where you either choose to pick up your Bible and go and pray – get before the Father or allow yourself to be swallowed up by fear.
God has given us ALL the tools we need to draw nearer to Him. He is NOT a God to lie. His Word IS truth. This is where you exercise your spiritual eye muscles and choose to WALK by faith. This is where you REBUKE any thought that comes into your mind trying to negate the Word of God! This is where you STAND FIRM and watch and SEE what your Father does! This is where you pray a prayer like this:
Father, thank You that because I gave You my life it is not my own but Yours. Thank You that You have ALWAYS been there, that You have NEVER left nor forsaken me. Thank You that I can come to you in the privacy of wherever I am and talk to you about how I’m feeling because I know that You will ALWAYS listen. Jesus, I need You. I’m struggling. Just like the Israelites who stood with Moses as they faced the red sea, I feel like I am facing a “Red Sea moment” in my walk and I don’t know what to do. You have said that my steps are ordained by YOU, all of them, so I cry out to You, “Abba Father! HELP me.” Forgive me for my sins and wash me with your precious blood. If there is anything that I have done that is displeasing to You, I pray that You would forgive me. I NEED YOU. Father, I CANNOT make it in this world without You, nor do I want to. I am facing this situation _____________________________________ (PUT WHATEVER THE SITUATION IS THERE) and I need you to part this Red Sea and see me over to the other side. I cannot think of any way that I have sinned against you, so if this is spiritual warfare occurring, I loose forth the ministering angels and waring angels that you have given charge over me and ask that You would send them to combat in the Heavenly realms ANYTHING that has come against me. I bind the spirit of delay! I thank You Father for losing forth victory over this situation! I thank You for parting this “Red Sea” and for the victory of it! I thank You that it will be an added part of my testimony as to what You can do and have done for me! I can do NOTHING without You, so I place my hand in Your able One and I thank You for being there! Loose forth my blessings, Father! Be glorfied in this situation! In Jesus’ mighty name I pray, AMEN
This is where the victory occurs… This is where Your Father shows forth His mighty hand! This is where You worship and praise Him through the battle because He loves you, He is in control, and NOTHING catches Him by surprise. This is where you walk forth in the victory He has provided, sharing ALL He has done as a witness to others that He is STILL God, He is STILL on His throne, and He STILL answers prayers. And YOU BELONG TO HIM.
