God Alone Reigns! He Shares His Glory with NO Man!

We live in a world that has proven itself to be uncertain.  Even more reason for us to turn to a God Who is steadfast, never changing and reliable.  Everything we need to know He has provided in His written Word.  Everything that is going to take place, He has already revealed to us.  If you are part of God’s Called Remnant (meaning you have accepted God’s gift of salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ, made Him Lord OVER your life) then you have no need to worry, on Christ the solid Rock we stand all other ground is sinking sand.

The Bible warns us in Psalm 91:7-8:

“A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look and see the reward of the wicked.”

Peace is only found in personally knowing the “Prince of Peace” Who is Jesus. No matter what we face in this fallen world, He IS our King, He IS our Savior, He IS LORD.  The Bible tells us in Philippians 2:10-11:

“At the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

It is so easy to get caught up in worry and the chaos of this world, to be filled with anxiety and fear, but here is the truth Beloved – at times like those, let us remember the example of Peter when he proceeded to step out of the boat and walk on water towards Jesus.  Let’s look at Matthew 14:28-32:

“And Peter answered him, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water.” He said, “Come.” So, Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came to Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, “Lord, save me.” Jesus immediately reached out his hand and took hold of him, saying to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased. And those in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”

I think we can all relate to feeling uncertainty, anxiety or fear when looking at certain situations we are going through in life.  Especially when we are hit with an onslaught of problems, it’s easy to panic as Peter did.  Listen, we were created to be in fellowship with God. We were not created to handle things on our own, the truth of the matter is that whenever we do, more often than naught, we make a mess of things.  We live in a fallen world who is under the delusion that they can function without the Creator at all.  “Go to the beat of their own drum.”  How is that working out for us?  If we were to be honest, we would admit it’s not.  Our world is one big chaotic mess and without the intercession of God and the turning to Him, it WILL continue to get worse. Our hope is not to be in “man” but in the Son of Man.  He IS the ONLY Way, Truth and Life.  In Him we CAN depend.  Acts 4:12 tells us:

“Neither is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved.”

Instead of looking for restitution, resolution or assurance or change to come from any one man, look to Jesus.  If you are currently experiencing worry, anxiety or anything that is robbing you of your peace – it’s time to turn to Jesus.  Won’t you pray with me?

“Father God, I thank You so much that I can come to You in prayer. For where else can I turn for direction?  Please forgive me for my sins and wash me in the precious blood of Jesus. Father, I decree and declare that I need You!  I CANNOT make it in this world without You.  You ARE the Way, You ARE the Truth, You ARE the Life.  My life feels like one big storm and the boat of me is being tossed to and fro.  I am crying out to You, ‘Abba Father!’  Forgive me for taking my eyes off of You and allowing fear and anxiety to sink me when I need only to cry out to You. Save me Father!  As I pray this prayer I am extending my hand out to you as Peter did when He began to sink in the waves.  Jesus, help me! Save me! Renew me! Heal me! Provide for me! Rescue me! Remember me as that one sheep that You left the other 99 to rescue.  I need You Father, I thank You for hearing this prayer and restoring my peace.  Calming the storm of my life. Sheltering me under Your shadow.  Help me Father to abide in You.  I love You Father, I love You Lord, I love You Holy Spirit. My life belongs to You. Be my King, be my Lord, be my Savior, I place my hope and my trust in You and You alone.  In Jesus precious name I pray Amen.”

We have to be vigilant about this now, a good read to refer to is the Book of Daniel.  I have been thinking about how Daniel and Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego even though having to abide in Babylon kept their faith!

WE HAVE TO TAKE THE SAME STANCE NOW!

God did not say it was going to be easy, but He did say that He would NEVER leave nor forsake us through whatever we go through in life.  It is the reason why Jesus sent Holy Spirit to abide within us. No matter what dilemma we are facing – God IS bigger. Our steps (we are told) are ordered by Him.  We can trust Him.  Somethings that we go through He allows us to experience because He has a higher purpose in mind.  (Just as He did with Daniel, with Joseph, with David and SO many others that we are to look to as examples).  We are not to lose heart. Refocus your eyes on Him and know that unlike people, you CAN trust God.  Many confuse their experience with people to color their relationship with God.  If you think about it, that’s not really fair.  That’s like someone blaming you for a relationship that went bad with someone else.

GOD LOVES YOU, OF THAT YOU CAN BE CERTAIN!

So, let’s rise above whatever it is that is troubling us, annoying us, vexing us, filling us with fear and uncertainty and turn to the One Who is ALWAYS certain and able to settle the storms taking place in our lives. He IS our “President” for He takes precedence over EVERY person and EVERYTHING above the earth and He ALONE reigns! Praise His Holy and Blessed name!
