We are such a predictable lot! We spend our lives trying to find fulfillment in everything other than what we were created to do! We run around chasing our tails like dogs… I want to attest to what I know to be the truth:
TRUE FULFILLMENT AND SATISFACTION CAN ONLY BE FOUND IN THE ONE WHO CREATED YOU FOR A PURPOSE!
We make our own plans and agendas taking for granted today and looking towards tomorrow to fulfill purposes that don’t have eternal value, when the truth is – not one of us is promised tomorrow. Yet we bank on it… We expect that we will wake up tomorrow as if we have control over tomorrow… We don’t!
We scoff at the idea that there is a God Who is in complete control, and we reject Him if what our desires dictate to us goes against what we have been told is God’s will! For those of us who live in countries where we are allowed to have the Word of God (the Bible) we just put them on the shelves to collect dust or put it in the center of a room, “the family Bible” as if that is enough to bring good will to our homes. How ridiculous are we???!!!
If I loved you and wrote you a love letter declaring my love, showing you how to deepen your relationship with me, showing that I loved you enough to die for you and you NEVER opened the envelope or read the letter, how would you know of the depth of my love????
FOR THE BIBLE IS GOD’S LOVE LETTER TO US, FULL OF THE DEPTHS OF HIS LOVE. FULL OF REDEMPTION, COMMITMENT, LESSONS, SACRIFICES AND HIS DESIRE FOR YOU TO WALK IN HIS LOVE.
What a loving Father to create us with “free will” (which is as much to our disadvantage as it is to our benefit) for many of us miss out on the love of God. A Father Who has shown His love for us in EVERY possible way! He left the glories of Heaven to come down and put on fleshly garments in the Person of Jesus BECAUSE He desired a CLOSER, PERSONAL relationship with us!
EMMANUEL – GOD IN FLESH
He walked amongst us – GOD HIMSELF WALKED AMONGST US, born of the virgin Mary as prophesized recognized by some, unrecognized by many, He lived a sin-less life and died a horrific death on the cross taking on the sins of the world so that WE could be REDEEMED.
GOD HIMSELF DIED FOR US! EXPERIENCED DEATH! WHY? BECAUSE HE LOVES US!

When you think about it, TRULY think about it – we spend our lives running from the VERY thing our hearts cry out for! A relationship with God! We don’t even realize that that is what we are running from! How ironic is that? And the one who has blinded our hearts and our minds to it, the devil – laughs.
But God continues to pursue us. He continues to give us chance after chance after chance to know Him personally. Why?
BECAUSE HE LOVES US. HE KNOWS WHAT IS BEST FOR US AND WHAT IS BEST IS TO WALK IN A CLOSE RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM. THAT IS WHERE ABUNDANT JOY IS! THAT IS WHERE LOVE IS – FOR GOD IS LOVE, HIMSELF. THAT IS WHERE SATISFACTION AND FULFILLMENT IS – IN THE VERY CENTER OF HIS WILL TO FULFILL WHAT HE ORIGINALLY CREATED YOU TO DO WHEN HE FORMED YOU IN YOUR MOTHER’S WOMB
The devil knows this! And he does not want you to fulfill your purpose in Christ. Why? Because he HATES you! Why? Because God LOVES you and the devil knows that the best way to hurt God is to keep you blinded from His love. To make you think that God “isn’t real” or that he isn’t real!
BUT GOD IS REAL! AND HIS LOVE IS REAL FOR YOU!
If any of this resonates deep in the heart of you, pray this and mean it.
“Father, thank You for loving me, for chasing me down in every moment of my life. I don’t want to run from You; I want to run TO You! Forgive me for my sins and anything that has rejected the love that You have for me. I WANT to see You! I WANT to hear You! I WANT to know You! Please help me from getting in the way of it! I recognize I NEED You! Please don’t let me miss out on the purpose You have for my life! Please make Yourself REAL to me! I choose THIS day not to run FROM You – but to You shutting out ALL the noise around me! Jesus, I accept Your gift of redemption! I choose You as my Savior, recognizing the need for You! Thank You! I ask You to be LORD OVER my life! As You gave Your life for me, I give MY life for YOU! Come into my life Lord! Fill my heart! Make Yourself REAL to me! I’m not running from You ANYMORE. In Your precious name I pray! Amen!”
There is no greater joy or satisfaction from walking with the Father, with Holy Spirit as your guide. All of a sudden God’s love jumps off the pages of His love letter to you (the Bible) and He instructs and changes and molds and fulfills us in ways that the world simply CANNOT. We begin to see and wonder in it – the love of God which can ONLY be found in Christ Jesus. The decision to accept His gift of redemption is the ONLY decision in this life that is an eternal one, everything else passes away, but NOTHING – NOTHING can separate you from the love that is found in Christ Jesus, a love and relationship that will last for ALL eternity. Run to Him! He’s waiting… He loves you SO much. So VERY VERY much with a love that transcends time.
