There is One Who knows you better than you know yourself… He knows you intimately as He created you when you were in your mother’s womb… He knows EVERY strand of hair upon your head… He knows EVERY thought you think before you even think it. He knows the number of your days. He NEVER grows weary of watching you, He LOVES you beyond measure…
Daily He stands at the door of your life knocking, wanting you to notice Him. To let Him in. He longs for you to acknowledge Him and desire to know Him intimately as He knows you… He has tried endlessly to capture your attention often to no avail… A sunrise, a sunset, a joyful bird singing… But more often than not you pay Him no mind as you go about the gift of a new day which He has seen fit to bestow upon you…
The noise of the world predominantly captures your attention and turns your head from hearing His often gentle voice. Blessings go unrecognized as gifts from a loving and often extravagant Father. Direction that is given for you to live the very best kind of life in a fallen world gets ignored or worse – criticized…
There is a place within your very soul that was created to be in fellowship with Him, but the enemy has blinded your eyes, your ears, your mind, your heart to that yearning that you mistakenly try to fill with substitutes which can NEVER fill the place reserved ONLY for Him… And still He persists in wooing you. Loving you. Forgiving you. He sees BEYOND your outside appearance. His grace and His mercy continues to give you chance after chance to see that the love you have always been looking for has been RIGHT in front of you! This One Who has loved you SO much that when He created your very being, He blessed you with “free will” to choose Him or Reject Him. Not once thinking He should create you otherwise, for what is love that is not freely given?
How it must have pained Him to lovingly give such a gift, knowing that for so many it would lead to rejecting Him. Rejecting His direction. Rejecting His guidance. Rejecting His love. Yet He held NOTHING back. NOTHING.
NOT EVEN HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON.
Still you choose to go your own way. Choose to ignore His love letter to you (The Bible). Fall right into the hands of His enemy, who is out to kill and destroy you because the Father loves you so very much…
You were created IN LOVE (no matter HOW your conception came about), created in the image of Him. The Creator. He LOVINGLY formed you in your mother’s womb. He rejoiced over you! He had GREAT plans for you! He created you with gifts and skills that were especially given to you for a reason! How He looked forward to growing a relationship with you. To show you wonders and magnificent things! Waiting patiently for that moment when you would come running right into His arms and love Him as He loves you… But instead of running to Him, you run away. Rejecting Him. Settling for less. Mocking His love. Thinking you know better what you need. And still He waits. Pained by seeing how you choose a life that is less than the best He had in mind when He created you. He sees the way this fallen world, temptation towards things that He never wanted you to experience that lead to sickness, illness, disease, emotional hurt, scars, death, poverty, rejection and so many other things He wanted to keep you from, but in your free will you chose things that deceived you. That instead of “freeing you” oppressed you, depressed you, continued to make you feel empty because NOTHING could fill up within your soul what was meant ONLY for Him. You believed the lies of the enemy to the point where truth was considered a lie. And lies truth… Wrong is considered right and right wrong…
Maybe we should stop a moment and consider that if we being created in the Father’s image were created with feelings –
WHAT ABOUT HIS FEELINGS? WHAT ABOUT HIS HEART?
What if we took a moment to just STOP. And to LISTEN. And to GIVE Him a chance by asking Him to make Himself REAL to us. And then to see if He’ll do it?
REALLY TAKE A MOMENT TO QUIET THE NOISE ALL AROUND US AND OPEN OUR HEARTS TO LISTEN.
If you are to be honest with yourself, you’ll admit JUST to you – don’t worry about anyone else – that you have TRIED everything else, yet deep inside there is something within you that tells you that there HAS to be MORE than “just this”. And perhaps you are tired of trying to figure out EVERYTHING on your own. It doesn’t matter if you are at the point in your life where you have EVERYTHING or are struggling in your having NOTHING. There is STILL something crying out deep within you for MORE.
If that is you, will you pray this with me?
“God, I’m told you are a “loving Father” – are You? If what is written about You, or if what others have said about You is true – I want, no – I NEED You to make Yourself REAL to me. I’m told You desire to have a personal one on One relationship with me. If that is accurate than SHOW me. REVEAL Yourself to me in a way that I can SEE You. That I can FEEL You. That I can HEAR You. I stand before You asking. You have my undivided attention now. Help ME to know You. Forgive me for my sins. If You do that, I WILL accept Jesus as my Savior. I WILL make Him LORD over my life. I just need You to make Yourself real to me. Thank You for hearing this prayer. I open the door to my heart wide – Jesus, come on in. In Jesus’ precious name I pray Amen.”
He sees you dear reader. He hears you. He loves you. He knows your heart. And you can BET He is going to respond. Now watch Him. He’s going to prove Himself to you in a personal way which you alone will recognize. Here He comes…
