Calling 911 – Hot Spots on the Soul

I woke up this morning with a vision of a spiritual wound that looked like a hot spot on the soul, sensitive to touch, that if left unidentified or neglected to be brought before the Father could become a septic spiritual infection making everything around the individual look exacerbated, enlarged and magnified. Wounds like this need to be brought before the Father in prayer. We are in a spiritual war and if you are part of God’s Called Remnant, and are walking in accordance to God’s calling on your life, the enemy sees you as a threat.  Remember, the enemy has come with an agenda against you, but fear not because as in 1 John 4:4:

“Greater is He that is in me than he that is within the world.”

I have written a post about the spiritual war we are in entitled “Soldier Pep Talk, from One Soldier to Another” Click on the pink link to read more on being a soldier in this spiritual war.

Soldier Pep Talk From One Soldier to Another in Him

Our strength is not our own, we are not dependent upon ourselves – WE BELONG TO THE UTMOST HIGH KING. You are HIS child and He has called you by name.  If you have been under relentless spiritual attack for your faith in God you will know because Holy Spirit will identify it to you. Remember that ol’ slewfoot is the author of deception. Once you recognize that you have been wounded, identify it and bring it before the Father in prayer for healing. This is where you stand upon the Word of God and your promises.  This is where you link arms with other believers and you have them pray with you and for you. Remember, 1 Corinthians 12:1-27:

For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit. For the body does not consist of one member but of many.  If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body.  And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. If the whole body were an eye, where would be the sense of hearing? If the whole body were an ear, where would be the sense of smell? But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose.  If all were a single member, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts, yet one body.

The eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you,” nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” On the contrary, the parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable,  and on those parts of the body that we think less honorable we bestow the greater honor, and our unpresentable parts are treated with greater modesty, which our more presentable parts do not require. But God has so composed the body, giving greater honor to the part that lacked it, that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together. Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it.

I’ve used this example in posts before, but it’s worth using again.  If you stub your toe the pain radiates from your foot ALL the way up to your brain and it hurts!  Another example is when you get a paper cut, it doesn’t matter that it’s on a finger or part of your hand that pain is aggravating and the whole body feels the discomfort!    We do not walk this walk alone!  My prayer and hope is that you are connected with a good church that is worded up mighty much that can support you, encourage you and grow you in your walk with Christ, but I know that there are many Christians out there who have been hurt by the church or do not have a church home, may even be in-between church homes right now while looking where it is that God wants to plant you.  The good news is that God has gifted the body of Christ with many different gifts and callings (as you know, mine is to write)., but I’d like to point out two ministries that are run by two of my spiritual mentors, who have tremendous ministries that are helpful and healing for those needing help and support within the body of Christ.

It may be time to do a self-check to see if there are any spiritual wounds that have become hot spots on your soul, sensitive to the touch; heart wounds that unless attended and treated can become spiritual infections that hinder your walk in Christ. There is absolutely no shame in bringing times when you are troubled, feeling weak or need help before the Father. That is why He is there!  He is an EVER present help in time of trouble!  He is the lifter of your head!  He has called you to be the head and NOT the tail.  God is GREATER than whatever you are experiencing, whatever you are going through or whatever has come your way.  LEAN ON HIM. We were not made to go through this walk on our own. Maturity in Christ is recognizing when and if you need help.  That being said,  I want to tell you about two really great ministries with two sisters in Christ who deal with spiritual warfare, if you need to be connected with healing ministries (it doesn’t matter where you live, they minister long distance) please know that they are a wonderful resource for healing.  I am including their contact information which can be found directly below, and I also want to remind you of My Favorite Links that lists ministries that have been a tremendous help to me in my own walk.  Please feel free to click on the pink link  below that says “Kelly’s Favorite Links to Bless You!” I will add to them as God leads me and I hope that they will bless you, as they have (and continue) to bless me.

Kelly’s Favorite Links to Bless You!

Remember – we are NOT in this walk alone!  Ecclesiastes 4:12 says:

“An enemy might be able to defeat one person, but two people can stand back-to-back to defend each other. And three people are even stronger. They are like a rope that has three parts wrapped together—it is very hard to break.”
