We are vessels – we need to make sure that what we are filled up with is Holy Spirit. A vessel is filled with something – carries something inside of it. What are you filled up with? Make sure you are a carrier of whatever it is God has intended you to be – seek Him for your calling if you don’t know what purpose He has created you for. As I write these words a picture of a large cooler comes to mind. A cooler is a vessel that is used to keep food cool, from spoiling. We fill it with food and drinks and then we surround it with ice, to maintain the food from going bad, at the end of the day, when we are done with the cooler, the items have been eaten, their purpose has been served, the ice has turned into water and it’s time to dump the residue out. God created you for a purpose. You were created to be His vessel. He has given you gifts. Gifts to be used for His purpose, for His glory.
He has also given you the Holy Spirit- which surrounds those gifts to increase your faith in Him, help you with guidance and direction as to the steps God has ordained you for. Make sure you are filling yourself with things that will not “spoil” the items in the vessel of you. Make sure you are listening and “dumping out” what would otherwise spoil the purpose and direction God desires you to go. Rid yourself of anything that deviates what God is telling you. You have a God ordained purpose BUT the choice of what you put into the “vessel” of you is up to you. Remember what the Bible refers to as the “fruits of the Spirit” found in Galatians 5:22-23:
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.”
Continue to read God’s Word and ask Holy Spirit to fill you up with the direction and purpose of God and have faith to believe He will (it’s why Jesus sent Him). God will not fail you – You have a purpose – in Him. Discover what it is and may you walk in it ALL the days of your life. There is NO greater joy. There is NO greater love, than being His vessel, His precious work of art. God loves the you He created you to be – you are His masterpiece. ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏
