What is your heart’s desire? If it is something that is not outside the will (and Word of God) and feels like it is intensifying, it is Holy Spirit prompting you to what God has called you to do. And if you are praying to discover what your calling is – this could be Holy Spirit saying, “yes and amen!”
My deepest desire, since I have given my life to Christ and desire His will to go forth with the days He has given me – is to help people to know that God LOVES them. That He is FOR them! That He truly does stand at the door knocking, wanting to come into your life and have a relationship with you. HE DOES! Revelations 3:20 says:
“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.”
Most people confuse religion with having a personal relationship with God. Jesus defined religion as in Mark 7:8:
“You put aside God’s command and obey human teachings.”
Jesus was INTO relationships with people! Think about all the scriptures that talk about Jesus going over to dine at the houses of others. He was into gatherings of people. Jesus was personal with the people. He was reachable. He was touchable. Throughout the New Testament you can see examples of how Jesus was into developing relationships.
HE IS THE SAME TODAY!
In fact, my Bible says, in Hebrews 13:8:
“He is the same yesterday, today and forever!”
He DESIRES to be in a relationship with you! Personal! One on One! Leaning forward in His seat listening and sharing kind of relationship. Again in Revelations 3:20:
“Behold I stand at the door and knock, if anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come into him and dine with him and he with Me.”
THAT is the kind of relationship God desires to have WITH YOU. And OHHHHH how amazing and wonderful it is when you actually allow Him in!!!! Ever been in a great conversation with someone who gets you??? Who understands you? Who is interested in you? Who loves you??? REALLY loves you? Hangs on your every word and you hand on theirs? That’s the only way I can explain it. It is kind of like those, “And then what happened? And then what did you do?” Conversations. Conversing with Him is AMAZING!!!! That is why the Bible says, in Psalm 34:8:
“Taste and see that the Lord is good.”
When you taste something, and it is sooooooo good you want to share it with others right? And you can try and describe it, but unless someone experiences it for themselves, there aren’t enough words to adequately explain – WHY it is so good!
When you have created a meal and it came out, out of this world yum, when you talk about it to someone, you can’t adequately find the words to describe how GOOD that meal was. So, what do you do? You give them this GREAT recipe so that they can make it and try it for themselves, right? Because unless they do, they will never be able to fully comprehend HOW good that meal was!
So I’m going to share this amazing recipe with you. So that YOU can experience it yourself. It’s not a new recipe, it’s been passed down through the generations (it is JUST THAT GOOD) and maybe you’ve heard of it before and thought about trying it but just haven’t gotten around to it. My hope and prayers are that you take the time to try it. It is totally OUT OF THIS WORLD YUM and Oh how you’ll desire a second helping and maybe even a third! When I first tried it, I had NO idea that it would create in me a desire for more. It’s been 32 years since I first “tasted for myself” and honestly – it was the BEST decision I ever made. I pray it would be the same for you. This invitation for Jesus to come in and dine with you – not only for one meal, but for ALL the days of your life. You only have to pray it once, you have to mean it from the heart. But once you do, watch and see – Jesus will pull up a chair and say, “finally you let me in! Whew! I thought I’d be knocking forever! HOW ARE YOU?” And the relationship will begin. Oh you don’t have to believe me, I had NO idea how much it would alter MY life when I gave my life to the One who first gave His for mine. But it has been the BEST decision I ever made. Okay – here’s the recipe – taste it for yourself and see…. I pray you will.
“Father God, I come before You and I invite you into my life. I willfully decide to choose You and make You my Lord and Savior. Lord, IF You are real – I need to find out for myself. I believe you were born of the virgin Mary, that you lived and that you chose to die on the cross for forgiveness of my sins. That You rose again and are seated on the right hand of the Father and that You will come again. Please come in and dine with me. Please let me understand and experience “tasting” this relationship with you and seeing for myself how REAL You are. Come into my life right now Father. Pull up a chair. Join me. Dine with me. I choose You. Right here right now… And I thank you for making a way for me to do so. Forgive me for my sins and wash me with Your precious blood. I choose YOU Jesus. In Jesus’ name I pray. AMEN”
It begins… Watch and see because right now, after you prayed that prayer (or in your own words, a prayer like that – it’s not the words it’s the intent and desire behind them) the Bible tells us in Luke 15:10:
“In the same way, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels when even one sinner repents.”
Hear that applause? That’s the angels rejoicing! That’s FOR YOU. God loves you so much – now watch and see how GOOD our God is! Because HE IS!
