I don’t know what you are going through, what you are experiencing but I feel Holy Spirit leading me to tell you, that whatever it is –
YOU ARE NOT ALONE…JESUS IS THERE…JESUS KNOWS… JESUS CARES
If you are hurting, if you are discouraged, if you are downhearted Holy Spirit wants you to know:
HE SEES YOU. HE LOVES YOU. HE WANTS YOU TO POUR YOUR HEART OUT TO HIM, WITH WHATEVER IT IS YOU ARE FEELING BURDENED BY. HE WANTS YOU TO LET IT GO, BRING IT RIGHT UP TO THE CROSS AND LET IT GO. GIVE IT TO GOD, IT IS TOO BIG FOR YOU TO HANDLE, GOD DID NOT MEAN FOR YOU TO CARRY THAT WEIGHT – GIVE IT TO HIM.
So many of us have been raised to “keep a stiff upper lip.” But the truth of the matter is, God never created us with the idea of us being independent from Him.
WE NEED GOD. EVERY DAY. EVERY MOMENT. THROUGH SUNSHINE AND IN RAIN, THROUGH SICKNESS AND IN PAIN. WE NEED THE ONE WHO CREATED US. WE WERE NEVER MEANT TO GO IT ALONE.
Listen, God may have given you family and loved ones to be there for you, but they were not given to you to replace the Father. Sometimes we forget that God intimately knows EACH one of us! Oh yes! Psalm 139:2 tells us:
“You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar.”
You can freely talk to your Father. In fact, He wants you to! Pour your heart out to Him, it doesn’t have to be in any “fancy” words – He wants you to come to Him just as you are! It may feel strange at first, especially if you are not use to doing it – but you can talk to the Father as you would talk to anyone else! (Only… keep it respectful – it’s probably best not to curse… 😉 ) God understands you like no other living person can – after all, He created you! You can’t “hide” how you feel from Him (He already knows it) SO just share with Him whatever it is that is bothering you, whatever it is that concerns you, whatever it is that is in your heart. God delights in conversing with His children. Don’t allow ol’ slewfoot to keep you from fellowshipping with the Father. If you can only cry before Him – do so! Intimacy with God is JUST that! He doesn’t “expect you” to come to Him any way but as you are… Truly. Whatever it is that you want to share with Him, you CAN do it. At first it might feel awkward, but you just need to push past the awkwardness and freely talk to Him. The intimacy that you have with your Heavenly Father is one that cannot compare to ANY human relationship. Not that of a husband, not that of a wife, not that of a mother or father – or ANY one person in your life… A close, honest relationship with God is one that CANNOT be compared with any human relationship. There is a place deep within the soul of you that is crying out to your Creator. It CANNOT be filled or replaced successfully with ANY substitute. You were made to be in fellowship with the Father. Remember, you are a spirit that has a soul that is housed in a body. Your spirit is crying out to the Father. Let it.
GOD SEES YOU. GOD CARES.
Ol’ slewfoot has deceived people into thinking that God is a distant, uncaring God. That could be no further from the truth… Think about it… John 3:16 tells us:
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
God, left the glories of Heaven to come down to earth, be born of the virgin Mary in the form of man (Jesus), live a sin-less life and die on the cross for forgiveness of OUR sins to restore a right relationship with Him. Tell me, does THAT sound like a distant, cold, uncaring God (Father) to you???
Jesus Himself said in Revelations 3:20:
“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.”
He’s waiting for you! Open the door and allow Him in! Even if you can only manage to cry out His name:
HE HEARS YOU. HE SEES YOU. HE KNOWS YOU. YOU CANNOT SURPRISE HIM – HE LOVES YOU! RIGHT NOW, RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE. TELL HIM WHAT IS IN YOUR HEART, NO MATTER WHAT IT IS – TALK TO JESUS!
Father God, sometimes it is hard for me to put what I am feeling into words. Thank You that Your Word tells me that You know my thoughts before I even think them… Thank You for standing at the door and knocking, waiting for me to open it to You. Today, I open the door to let You into my life. Forgive me Father for all my sins, wash me clean with the precious blood of Jesus. Jesus, I repent. I choose to give my life to You. Thank You for dying on the cross for forgiveness of my sins. Thank You for restoring a relationship for me with the Father. Thank You for even being there right now as I pray this prayer.
Father God, I am hurting… Life hurts right now, I need You. I don’t understand the place I find myself in, right now – but I know You are right there with me. I need You so badly… I don’t see a way out, but You tell me in 2 Corinthians 5:7 (personalized):
“That I am to walk by faith and not by sight.”
“So I choose to do so. Knowing that You are beside me. That I am NOT alone, You are with me…”
(TELL THE FATHER IN YOUR OWN WORDS WHAT IT IS THAT YOU ARE GOING THROUGH, WHAT IT IS THAT IS TROUBLING YOU)
“Lord, please help me. Please guide me, please heal me, please comfort me, please be here with me. Please bless me. Please help me to feel your presence. I know Your Word tells me in Psalm 46:1 (personalized)That:”
“You are my refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
“I’m at that point right now, where I need to feel Your arms wrapped around me. I need to know that while I feel out of control in this situation, You are IN control. Because I have chosen to turn my life over to You, my life is not my own – it belongs to You. Thank You for ordaining my days, thank You for taking control of my life. Thank you for being GREATER than this situation. I pray for peace, I pray for wisdom, I pray for knowledge, I pray for wisdom, I pray for understanding. I pray that I will strongly feel your presence. I pray that You would rebuke the hand of the devourer OFF of my life and off of those I love in Jesus’ name! I pray that as in Isaiah 54:17 (personalized):
“No weapon formed against me shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against me in judgment You shall condemn. This is my heritage as Your servant, And my righteousness is from You.”
Please fill me Holy Spirit with Your presence. Comfort me. Guide me, speak to me. I thank You for being an ever present help in time of trouble. I love You so much Father, I love You Jesus, I love You Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. AMEN”
Pour your heart out to Him, Beloved of God. Let Him minister to you right now – right where you are at. HE WILL. God IS there and He loves you, more than ANY words I could adequately write… LET HIM and see what He will do. He’s greater than any situation that could present itself in your life. He IS God.
