If you have made a confession of faith, accepted Jesus as Savior, made the choice of making Him Lord over your life, you have made the absolute BEST decision you will EVER make in your life. The Bible tells us in Luke 15:10:
“And the angels of God rejoice over one sinner who repents.”
For those of you who don’t know what I mean by making a confession, and who feel as though Holy Spirit is prompting you to pray, freely pray the prayer of confession below:
“Heavenly Father, I believe that Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God came to earth to be the Savior of the world, and that by His death on the cross, He paid the price for the sin of the world, so that whosoever believes on Him would not perish, but have everlasting life.
Thank You for Jesus for my free gift of salvation. Thank You that by believing in Your name, I am forgiven of my sins and brought into sweet fellowship with my heavenly Father.
Thank You, Father, for sending Your Son to die on Calvary’s cross in my place. Thank You that His innocent life was sufficient to pay the full price for my sin, and the sins of the world.
Lord, I turn from all my prideful sins and from everything that is dishonoring to Your name, and pray that I would grow in grace and in a knowledge of Jesus, until I come to a spiritual maturity, as day by day the Holy Spirit seeks to transform my lowly body into the likeness of Jesus.
Thank You, Father, for Your wonderful gift of salvation and thank You that by believing I am now Your child. Thank You Holy Spirit for entering into my heart to help transform and renew my mind! I love you Holy Spirit! Teach me to walk in Your ways!
In Jesus’ precious, holy name I pray, Amen.”
If you have prayed the above prayer, you are now part of “God’s Called Remnant”! You have accepted the precious gift of salvation that was bought at SUCH a high price by Jesus! But at the same time, you have made one powerful enemy extremely angry with you. Oh yes… Now God wants to use you as His vessel to share the good news that you have discovered in Jesus and the enemy of God – satan is furious with you and will do EVERYTHING in his power to thwart you from growing and fulling your destiny in Christ Jesus. I say this not to scare you – 2 Timothy 1:7 tells us:
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
Before, you were oblivious and spiritually blind to the spiritual war that has been occurring ALL around you. You were no threat to the enemy because he had you RIGHT where he wanted you – living in total ignorance to the truth. But Holy Spirit softened your heart, gave you ears to hear, eyes to see and a heart to receive God’s love and your eyes were awakened! And YOU BELONG TO GOD! As you grow in Him and seek Him to find out what He has called you to do, do NOT be surprised by ALL the enemy throws at you to keep you from fulfilling your purpose in Christ Jesus. He fights dirty and hard and it will hurt and smart (I won’t lie) but stand your ground soldier! For 1 John 4:4 tells us:
“You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”
Also you can rest assured that in Colossians 2:15:
“Jesus has disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through Him.”
In other words:
YOU ARE FIGHTING IN A BATTLE THAT JESUS ALREADY HAS WON! THE VICTORY THROUGH ANYTHING THAT COMES YOUR WAY IS YOURS! YOU ONLY HAVE TO WALK IN IT!
The devil wants to oppress you. The devil wants to deceive you. He wants to convince you that God does NOT love you. The tactics of the enemy ARE dirty – believe me, I have personally experienced battle wounds. Examples? He can work through unsaved loves ones to discourage you, to hinder you, to hurt you. You may experience persecution from loved ones for your new faith in God. They may mock you, leave you, make fun of you. Don’t get mad at them – it is NOT them, if they don’t know Christ, they are spiritually blind, oblivious and walking in accordance to the flesh and know NOTHING of the spirit! It hurts, when the devil uses people we love to hurt us – but this is where the Bible tells us to walk in forgiveness AND to PRAY for those who persecute you! PRAY FOR THEM! Ephesians 6:12 tells us:
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
There is nothing more painful than being ostracized and persecuted by those you love most. IT HURTS! Jesus’ experienced it, did you know that there were members in Jesus’ family that did NOT believe He was the Savior? There were people in Jesus’ hometown that just saw Him as “the son of Mary and Joseph.” Can you imagine how much that hurt Him? Rejection and ridicule HURT. The weapons of warfare that the enemy uses are meant to hurt you. Meant to keep you from believing God’s Word. Meant to discourage you, meant to take you down!
NO MATTER WHAT DON’T GIVE UP, DON’T GIVE IN, DON’T SUBMIT!
DETERMINE IN YOUR HEART, IN YOUR MIND THAT NOTHING WILL KEEP YOU FROM ALL THAT GOD HAS FOR YOU, ALL THAT GOD WANTS YOU TO DO. CONTINUE TO PRESS IN TO THE FATHER. CONTINUE TO TRUST HIM. HE IS GREATER!
Ol’ slewfoot may attack the health of your loved ones, may attack YOUR health, may attack your finances or anything it is that you find stability in. But what he can’t attack is your determination to keep your eyes focused on Jesus. To walk in accordance to His Word. To pray! To continue on NO MATTER WHAT in Christ Jesus. The Bible tells us in Acts: 17:28:
“For in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’ “
There is nothing “pretty” about being in a war – especially an invisible, spiritual one that prior to coming to Christ, we had no idea we were involved in – but we are. In John 14:18 Jesus tells us:
“I will not leave you as orphans…”
Jesus’ very name – Emmanuel means:
“GOD IS WITH US”
Read that over and over…
GOD IS WITH YOU! HE IS GREATER! THE VICTORY HAS ALREADY BEEN WON!
Learn who you are in Christ and what your promises are (read your Bible) and you will grow stronger in Christ. If you notice ALL my posts are filled with the Word of God! The Word of God AND prayer are the GREATEST weapons we can wield in this war. Hold Fast to God’s Truth and determine in your mind and in your heart that NOTHING will SWAY you from your walk with Him! NOTHING!
Remember, the devil has ALREADY been defeated! Jesus has Won! The days are growing darker by the moment, the enemy knows his time is short! Jesus IS coming back! No man may know the time or the hour – but He is! Have confidence in Him! Our strength comes FROM Him! Remember, Philippians 4:13 says:
“I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me!”
LET HIM. At the worst moments of battle – LET GOD. HE IS ABLE. And He will never let you go through more than you can bear (although, I won’t lie – at times the battle will so fierce that you will wonder how VERY much you CAN bear! But God knows!) And He is with us ALL the way! Blessed be His name!
“Is Holy Spirit speaking to your heart through this word? If so, leave a comment below! I love hearing from you!”
