You are precious to God. You matter. You were created with a purpose. You were created with gifts. God made you special. Even if you are not feeling that way right now, even as you read these words.
Listen and I pray you hear Holy Spirit speaking through these words – there is NOTHING worse than a life lived in vain. If you are a parent, you know that all you can do for your children is direct them, guide them, encourage them, discipline them because you want the BEST for them. God FEELS the same about YOU. He is your Father. He is concerned about you, longs for you to be in a personal relationship with Him. John 3:16 tells us:
“God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him SHALL NOT perish, but have ever lasting life.”
God is NOT a Father that He would lie to you. GOD LOVES YOU. But He has created us (in love) with free-will, the ability to accept His love or reject it. He decided to make it OUR decision, to live a life free in Him, or to reject a relationship with Him. The choice IS ours. People rant and rave on believing “God is a God who sends people to hell” – that is a lie straight from the pit of hell itself. God doesn’t send people to hell, people send themselves. What is hell? Hell is a place totally void of God. It was originally ONLY created for the devil and his demons, not for people. So if you choose to live a life where you don’t want God to be a part of it, if you choose not to accept the gift God sent us, salvation through His Son, Jesus – then it IS YOUR CHOICE. YOU choose, YOU decide. 2nd Peter 3:9 says:
“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”
How it must hurt God’s heart to see children He created with a beautiful purpose in mind, a life filled with blessing, love, contentment, peace – say, “no thank You God. I don’t need you.” Imagine as a parent how that would feel (some of us already know) when a child becomes a prodigal and pushes you away. It hurts!
Why do I believe Holy Spirit is having me write such a solemn Word today? Because people are dying! It seems like it is happening more suddenly than ever before. People are dropping dead! I’m not speaking only of older people, I’m talking middle age, young – those who believe that they have tomorrow only to find out at the very end, they only had today! Jesus told this parable in Luke 12:16-21:
And he told them this parable: “The ground of a certain rich man yielded an abundant harvest. He thought to himself, ‘What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops. ” “Then he said, ‘This is what I’ll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store my surplus grain. And I’ll say to myself, “You have plenty of grain laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry.”’ “But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’ “This is how it will be with whoever stores up things for themselves but is not rich toward God.”
We always think we won’t die until “we are old and grey” we’ve got time… But the truth of the matter is, we aren’t promised tomorrow. We need to make a decision for Christ today! I write this in earnest, beseeching you (if you haven’t already) to make a decision (the most important decision you will ever make) for Christ today, before it is too late. The Bible tells us in Hebrews 9:27:
“And just as it is destined for people to die once, and after this comes judgment.”
How horrible to find out at the end of your physical life that you have chosen in the eternal one to do as you did in your physical life, spend it without God. And the fact that it was YOUR choice. YOU CHOSE. This is not God’s choice for you. God wants you to choose life. If you would like to make a decision for Christ, I pray you pray the following prayer:
“Father God, I thank You for bringing me to this post. I thank You for leaving the glories of Heaven because You love me. For coming down in the form of man – Jesus – and for living a sin-less life, dying on the cross for forgiveness of sins You didn’t commit – but I did… Thank You for loving me enough to make it very clear that You desire a personal relationship with me. Thank You for rising from the dead, defeating death and sin and for even in ascending to Heaven, right now at this very moment – interceding on my behalf before the Father. Thank You for sending Your Holy Spirit down to reside within my heart. Father, THIS DAY I CHOOSE YOU. Please come into my life and be my LORD and Savior. I accept Jesus as the Christ. Holy Spirit come live within me and help me to have eyes to see, ears to hear, a nose to smell Your sweet fragrance and a heart to receive ALL You have for me. Forgive me for my sins, and wash me with the precious blood that Jesus shed for me. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
Dear reader, I pray you make a decision for Christ in reading this post, I pray that You allow Holy Spirit to minister to your heart and make a decision to find out JUST HOW MUCH GOD LOVES YOU! He WILL reveal Himself to you, you just have to believe it, ask for Him to do so, and allow Him to move you. I promise you He will! How do I know? Because God is NO respecter of persons, and He did it (and continuously does it) in my life. You only have to pray that above prayer once and see what God will do! SEE FOR YOURSELF, you don’t have to believe me, you simply need to believe HIM. I pray you do. God bless you always!
