I had a revelation tonight… satan is called “the accuser”
“he is the accuser of the brethren…” (Revelations 12:10)
The Bible tells us his goal is to kill, steal and destroy (read John 10:10). Anyway and anyone who can hurt you he will use. So why are we so taken by surprise when it is those we love most? Think about it- if someone’s goal is to destroy you, the best way to do that is to attack your heart. And what better way than to use those who are vulnerable, don’t know the Lord or are not mature in their spiritual walk?
Those type of wounds can bring you to your knees… So instead of being on your knees in defeat and despair, if you are on your knees – use the BEST and most affective weapon you can – PRAYER. If someone “falsely” accuses you recognize the spirit behind the deception, behind the confusion, behind the accusation and PRAY…
“Father, I come before You and I pray on behalf of my accusers. LORD, you tell me to pray for those who persecute me… I call their names out before You and I pray that You would bring what is in the darkness into Your light. That lies, deception, falsities and misconceptions would be revealed for what they are. I pray for truth to be made known, reconciliation and forgiveness to be loosed. Father I ask that families would be redeemed by the Redeemer. I pray for healing in Jesus name. I pray that all accusations would be stilled and that You alone would touch the hearts of those who unknowingly have allowed themselves to be vessels of pain and hurt and humble them and draw them closer to You so that they can instead can be vessels of Your love. Only You can do this Father. You see ALL things. Help us walk in forgiveness and love. Bind up our wounds and restore what the cankerworm has tried to destroy. Thank You Father, we entrust those individuals to You. We love you and we pray – be glorified in Jesus precious name. Amen”
Instead of listening to the accusatory voices around you, why not tune your ears to the One Who loves You and knows you best of all. It’s His opinion that matters most- really the One that matters AT ALL….
