I would be remiss in writing about the love you have of a God who gave His only begotten Son for you. (See John 3:16), without writing the why of it.
This may come as a surprise to you, as it did to me 34 years ago because I didn’t know, but Holy Spirit removed the scales off my spiritual eyes and revealed to me what I did not know. Today, Holy Spirit wants me to share it with you.
We have a common enemy… Let me personalize this for you. YOU have an enemy. One that unless YOU wake up and recognize who he is, is set on destroying YOU, destroying YOUR family, destroying YOUR business, destroying YOUR Home, destroying YOUR health and ALL that is important to YOU and unless you recognize who he is, he is being successful. Some of you who read this will roll your eyes and scoff at me refusing to believe these words, and if that is you – he has got you exactly where he wants you. My prayers are if Holy Spirit brought you to this post, brought you to my page that He will remove the scales from off YOUR eyes (as He did mine) and reveal to you what God wants you to know – there is a spiritual war that is going on ALL around you and you haven’t even been aware of it. If you are reading these words, you are going to become accountable before the Lord for being told, and for your reaction to what you are reading. We are accountable for what we know. Here we go, read on:
You have an enemy, and he is not some cartoon character dressed in a one-piece red body suit holding a pitchfork jabbing you with it. HE IS REAL. His name is satan (and yes, I have not capitalized his name because I won’t even give him the glory of capitalizing it). He HATES you. I mean REALLY truly despises you. Why? Because GOD LOVES YOU, because God created you in His own image and satan HATES God. So, because God loves you, you have become a target, a way satan tries to hurt God by trying to destroy what God loves. And God loves YOU. Now as you are reading these words, you may feel fear creep up in you. Keep reading. That is one of the devil’s tactics to keep you from reading what you may not have believed or ever heard or know. Keep reading. Who IS this enemy? You can read about him in God’s Word, the Bible. And before you do, let me also remind you that
2 Timothy 3:16-17 says:
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
GOD’S WORD IS TRUTH. satan desires to blind YOU from the truth. You see His goal as Jesus taught in John 10:10:
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.”
The thief that Jesus is speaking about it, is satan also called lucifer, or as I refer to him in my writings, ol’ slewfoot. He wants to destroy you. He wants to steal from you. He wants to kill you and all this time you didn’t even know it. Now you do. The story of how the devil fell from Heaven is found in the Bible in Ezekiel 28:13-19 where God is talking about lucifer and what occurred. The Eden it talks about in that first paragraph must have been situated in Heaven so there was an Eden in Heaven and God had also created one in earth. The one in that first paragraph, second sentence is talking about the one in Heaven:
‘You were the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone adorned you: carnelian, chrysolite and emerald, topaz, onyx and jasper, lapis lazuli, turquoise and beryl. Your settings and mountings were made of gold; on the day you were created they were prepared. You were anointed as a guardian cherub, for so I ordained you. You were on the holy mount of God; you walked among the fiery stones. You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created till wickedness was found in you. Through your widespread trade you were filled with violence, and you sinned. So, I drove you in disgrace from the mount of God, and I expelled you, guardian cherub, from among the fiery stones. Your heart became proud on account of your beauty, and you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor. So, I threw you to the earth; I made a spectacle of you before kings. By your many sins and dishonest trade, you have desecrated your sanctuaries. So, I made a fire come out from you, and it consumed you, and I reduced you to ashes on the ground in the sight of all who were watching. All the nations who knew you are appalled at you; you have come to a horrible end and will be no more.’”
and in Isaiah 14:12-17:
“How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, you who weakened the nations! For you have said in your heart: ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation on the farthest sides of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High.’ Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, to the lowest depths of the Pit.”
This is the enemy of your soul. This is the one who deceived Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden (on earth) and brought sin into the world that has been carried on from generation to generation, and he CONTINUES to deceive people by convincing them that he does not exist, that he is not real. HE IS VERY REAL and it is time for YOU to be aware of it and realize that whether or not you choose to believe it, you ARE in the midst of a spiritual war where he is using YOU as a tool to hurt God. WAKE UP READER. IT’S TIME FOR YOU TO FIGHT. How do you fight back? You fight back by allowing Holy Spirit to open your eyes, if you are feeling fear as you read all that I have written, it is good that you do because that is YOUR spirit coming into agreement to what is truth. I know, because when I first was told of satan, I didn’t want to hear any more. I wanted to put my hands over my ears and say, “No! Stop! That can’t be true!” I felt as though the world as I had known it in my spiritual blindness was crashing ALL around me. But that is only because the person who tried to tell me about the devil did not do so in love. They did it in a legalistic, pompous manner. LISTEN, you DO NOT Have to be afraid. God is GREATER than the devil. The devil is a creation, he is NOT the Creator. Nothing surprises God. God had a plan – and He still HAS a plan. The plan is this found in John 3:16:
“God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.”
Father God is the first person of the Trinity (as described in the Home Page of this blog). God is great: He is all powerful, all knowing, ever present, unchanging, completely worthy of our trust, and above all, Holy. It is in Him that we live, move and exist. God is good. He is our Father, He is loving, compassionate, and faithful to His people and His promises.
The Bible tells us in 2nd Timothy 2:15:
“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
Read the Bible for yourself and allow Holy Spirit to reveal His truth into the very heart of you – your spirit and see for yourself the truth of the words I write. Remember, I consider myself a scribe for the Lord, I have been called to write. I am a “finger” in the body of Christ. God is calling YOU. He has a plan for YOUR life and that is part of what I pray you realize because that is one of the devil’s BIGGEST fears, that you will wake up and realize that Jesus is calling you. That in listening to this, you will become aware that Jesus loves you and has a purpose for you. He has great plans for you that He wants to reveal by His Spirit for your life.
Jesus defeated (dethroned satan) by taking on our sins and being crucified on the cross or as I describe it in the Home page of this blog, Jesus Christ is the second person of the trinity, (God the Son) on earth Jesus was 100% God and 100% man. He is the only man to ever have lived a sin-less life. He was born of the virgin, Mary, performed miracles, died on the cross for mankind and atoned for our sins through the shedding of His blood. He rose from the dead on the third day, according to the Scriptures, ascended to the right hand of the Father (first person of the Trinity) and will return again in power and glory.

Now that you have been made known the fact that there is a spiritual war going on ALL around you, how do you fightback? Well, the Bible says in 2 Corinthians 10:4-5:
“The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”
You do not have to be afraid of satan. The only way to win against him is to accept the gift that Jesus died for you to have, it’s so simple that many miss it. You accept Jesus Christ into your heart as Lord over your life and as your Savior. The gift has always been there for you to have, you just have been blinded to the truth of it, because it is the ONE thing that satan is fearful that you will do. Listen to the story of Nicodemus found in John 3:1-21:
“Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. This man came to Jesus by night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do unless God is with him.” Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
Nicodemus said to him, “How can these things be?” Jesus answered him, “Are you the teacher of Israel and yet you do not understand these things? Truly, truly, I say to you, we speak of what we know, and bear witness to what we have seen, but you do not receive our testimony. If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how can you believe if I tell you heavenly things? No one has ascended into heaven except he who descended from heaven, the Son of Man. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.”
I quote the Bible so much in my writings because it is the Living Word of God and I know that defeating our common enemy is bringing the truth to light. I pray the truth enlightens you. I pray that as you have read every word above that you become angry, angry at an enemy who has tried (and maybe successfully) to keep you in the dark of what is really occurring in this world. He has tried to ROB you of your inheritance in what Jesus paid with His life for you. He wants to destroy you and take you to hell where he will ultimately go. He has already deceived so many. But if you are reading these words, it is because it is not God’s will that you be in darkness. It is not God’s will that you perish. Someone is praying for you, maybe there have been generations within your family who have prayed for you that you would come into God’s truth. Jesus is calling you, if you listen your spirit will hear Him. There is no need for you to be afraid. Jesus has defeated death. How do you fight back? You simply choose of your own free will to accept Jesus Christ into your heart by repenting of your sins, recognizing who He is and making Him Lord over your life and accepting Him as your Savior. Once you do this, the third person of the Trinity (as written about on my Home page of this blog) Holy Spirit, will enter into your heart. Holy Spirit’s presence assures of our relationship with Jesus Christ. He guides believers into ALL truths and exalts Christ. He convicts people of their sins, opens blind eyes to God’s righteousness and makes them aware of the coming judgement. He comforts us, gives us spiritual gifts and makes us more like Christ. Holy Spirit is manifested through a variety of spiritual gifts to build and sanctify the church, demonstrate the validity of the resurrection and confirms the power of the Gospel. The Bible’s lists of these gifts are not necessarily exhaustive, and the gifts may occur in various combinations. All believers are commanded to earnestly desire the manifestation of the gifts in their lives. These gifts always operate in harmony with the Scriptures and should never be used in violation of Biblical parameters. You can read more about Holy Spirit in Hebrews 2:4; Romans 1:11-12; 4-8; Ephesians 4:16; 1 Timothy 4:14; 2 Timothy 1:6-7; 1 Corinthians 12:1-31; 14:1-40, 1 Peter 4:10.
So how do you defeat the enemy? Are you ready to do so? If you haven’t done this already – invite Jesus into your heart right now. Pray with me:
“Father God, Thank You for all I have just read. Thank You for Your Word that is truth. I want to give my life to You. On my own free will, I confess that I am a sinner, I choose this day to turn from my sins. Lord Jesus, thank You for dying on the cross for forgiveness of my sins. I believe that You were born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life and was crucified on the cross for me. That You rose again from the dead and are now seated at the right hand of the Father. That You are going to come again. Please come into my heart and be my Savior. Be Lord of my life. I give my life to You. In Your precious name I pray. AMEN”
That’s it. That’s the beginning. You may be wondering what next? Well, if you don’t have one already, get yourself a Bible. It’s time for you to grow in Christ and to do so, you have to read His Word! THIS is how the enemy IS defeated. If you have done the above, the victory has been WON because you are now aware that there is an enemy prowling the earth. The Bible describes him in 1 Peter 5:8:
“Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”
You needn’t fear, because if you prayed that above prayer, you have a protector – Holy Spirit who now dwells inside of you. Remember you have just invited God into your heart, so “Greater is He that is in you than he that is within the world.” (1 John 4:4). Today, if you have listened to the Words Holy Spirit has instructed me to write through this post, YOU have become an OVERCOMER by the blood of our precious Lamb, Jesus. Go in peace. God’s BEST for you is yet to come. Walk in confidence that you now belong to Him. Praise His Holy Name.
