What matters most is what Holy Spirit is speaking to you – know you not that if you are one of God’s Called Remnant that He is speaking to you? That He has a plan for YOUR life? That Your life is hidden in Christ Jesus? Colossians 3:1-4:
“Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.”
We are told in Romans 12:2:
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
I find that because it was later in life that I came to know Jesus and make Him my Savior, Lord over my life that there are a lot of old patterns that I continuously have to bring under submission to what Holy Spirit is saying to me. My flesh tends to want to go in the way it has habitually gone prior to my coming to Christ, but I determine in my mind, in my heart and in my soul that I WILL be transformed BY the renewing of my mind. How do I do that? I won’t lie, bad worldly thought habits can be hard to change – but THIS “old dog” HAS been transformed and HAS been able to catch myself when I find my mind goes in dark places. I am not always successful – I admit that there are times mid-thought where I have to catch myself and ask Holy Spirit to help my mind be transformed, but I know that the Bible tells me in Philippians 4:13:
“I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”
We ARE in a serious spiritual battle, and when we made that commitment to Christ, we stirred up the anger of an enemy who previously had us under his thumb because we were spiritually blind. When through our consent and decision to turn to Christ we allowed Holy Spirit to remove those spiritual blinders we became an enemy to the plan of the devil over our lives. GOD IS GREATER, but it is a DAILY battle to determine to “change our minds” especially because we live in a world that is determined to against God’s will. This is WHY it is so important to contact with other members of the body of Christ so that we can build each other up. God did NOT call us to go it alone – Romans 12:5 says:
“So in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.”
Thank God for a Father who knows what we need EVEN before we do and provides it to us. It always astonishes me when I see the many way God blesses me… For example: I had been praying for God to bless my family with a house, that was one of the desires of my heart, hardly did I know that the way God will answer that prayer was to move me from a job I had enjoyed and was satisfied in, to a new job with new people in a position I NEVER would have moved into on my own will. I went to the interview a favor to a colleague with no inclination to take the position. But what I didn’t know, is that God was lining up a position He wanted me to move into, I was not aware of it until He introduced me to a woman who would be my boss in the position – a Godly woman with a strong anointing upon her and a heart for Jesus. A woman who would not only become my new boss but even MORE than that (because God doesn’t DO things halfway) – but a woman who under the blood of Jesus IS my Sister-in-Christ, but also has become so much more than that to me, a sister in every sense of the word. You see, God SEES SO MUCH MORE than we. I didn’t see the need to change positions – but GOD DID. And in blessing me with a new position, He made it possible for my prayer for a house to be answered. I share this with my readers because so often we think we have to work situations for God – we don’t. We simply need to trust in HIM and allow God to steer our lives in the direction that He has for us. God doesn’t NEED “our help.” We so need His… Because of my obedience in recognizing that God wanted to move me, and I was submissive to the move, I gained a profitable new job, I gained a home and I gained a family in Christ. If I had willfully chosen to deny the opportunity based on the fact that I was “comfortable” and had not been willing to leave my comfort zone – I would have missed out on a tremendous blessing on MANY unexpected levels that God had for me. It is very important that we make sure that we are listening to what Holy Spirit is saying to us, how He is directing us OR we could lose out on answered prayer. God ALWAYS blesses more abundantly than we can imagine but He always allows us to walk in the free will which He has given us and if we are not careful – if we put the opinions of others ahead of God’s direction, than we can miss out on what God has for us. Here is the importance – the importance IS to keep our eyes on GOD and NOT on people. God has GOT to be the center of your life. NOT PEOPLE. Even well-meaning people can misdirect you. You have to keep your eyes open to seeing where God is leading you. You have to pray for ears to hear what God is telling you and also pray that God will give you a heart to receive whatever it is God is telling you. THIS is what it means to walk BY faith. The Bible tells us in Isaiah 55:8-11:
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”
Time and time again I am astonished by what God has done in my life, by my being open to it. God’s plan for our lives is so much BETTER than anything we can even imagine. And here is another thing, our Heavenly Father has an amazing sense of humor! People continue to view God in such a stoic, “shaking his finger and condemning us” manner – ol’ slewfoot tries to have so many people see God in a negative light – but He is NOT that way at all! NO! HE IS A LOVING GOD. He is a CARING Father! The perception that ol’ slewfoot would have you have of God the Father is that way because He doesn’t desire you to KNOW Father God as He is! The Bible says in Matthew 7:11 says:
“If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!”
Don’t allow the devil to manage the perception you have of Father God – determine in your head to find out for yourself! He IS a GOOD GOOD Father, you only just have to determine to know Him for yourself. When I was told the scripture John 3:16:
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

I can write and tell you what my experience has been, but the truth of the matter is, unless you determine to find out for yourself WHO God is, you won’t know. It has to be a personal thing. At the end of this life (and it can happen at ANY time) – I will stand before God and there will be NO ONE holding my hand when I stand before Him. Newsflash – there will be NO one holding YOUR hand either. We will give an account before God as to whether or not we chose to accept His gift of salvation, or we chose to reject it. My hope and prayer is that YOU really seek Father God and determine in your heart to come to know Him on your own. So often in this world we put the approval of others before the approval of God. If you have been reading the posts of my blog, God has led you here. It is NOT God’s desire that ANY perish – God the Father loved YOU SO MUCH that He left the glories of Heaven to come down and meet YOU right here where YOU are at – He was born of the virgin Mary, lived a sin-less life and died on the cross for forgiveness of YOUR sins (and mine). Jesus died FOR YOU (and for me) – He desires you to personally, FULLY come to know Him! He rose from the dead at the resurrection and EVEN RIGHT NOW as you read these words – is seated at the right hand of the Father INTERCEDING ON YOUR BEHALF. He IS coming again! To gather those of us who are His Called Remnant! Read the Book of Revelations! The ONLY book in the Bible that is yet to occur! HE IS COMING! Will YOU be ready for Him? It could be today! He could come tomorrow! The point IS He LOVES you! I pray you heed these words and pray right now that He will come into your life – that He will make His presence personal to you – in the way that He did ME. One day Jesus will return and the Bible says in Romans 14:11:
It is written: “’As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before me; every tongue will acknowledge God.’”
Find out today the love of your Heavenly Father – it is the sweetest, most wonderful love you will EVER experience, there is no love that can compare to the love of our Heavenly Father. I pray that you will let no one or nothing keep you from knowing what God meant you to know ALL along – that He loves you and knowing Him personally is the BEST decision you will EVER make. It truly is what matters most…
