In Not Choosing – You ARE Choosing! Be Mindful!

It doesn’t matter what people say about you.  It doesn’t matter what they think about you.  Stop getting caught up in the approval or acceptance of others.  THEY do NOT determine YOUR worth – GOD DOES.

Think about it – if Noah had listened to all the naysayers who mocked and criticized him for building the ark, he wouldn’t have listened to what God was telling him to do… What IS God telling YOU to do?

Your worth is not based upon the world.  Jesus spoke about this in John 15:18:

“If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.”

Why are we surprised when we experience this on our own accord?  Jesus told us it would happen.  Really, it means you have holy indignation for the things that you see around you that contradict the Word and will of God.  It is at this point that we have to ask ourselves this question:

“Are we living to please people, or are we living to please God?”

At the end of our lives, we will EACH stand ALONE before God to give an account to Him of what we did with this of life that He has given us.  Whether you believe that or not – it WILL happen.  And there will be NO one standing before you, holding your hand as you face the Giver of Life. As it says in 2 Corinthians 5:10

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.”

You may wince as you read these words – but the truth is the truth is the truth.  I do not know about you, but I like to face MY truth while my feet are on THIS side of the earth.  The truth IS we WILL stand before God and give an account, so shouldn’t we be MORE concerned about what HE thinks than what people think?

It hurts when you are ostracized for your faith, for the things you believe in that others mock – but how much more do you think it hurts the Father when we choice to put the opinions of people above Him?

God’s truth is ALL around us.  We either choose to see it and abide in His truth, or we choose to ignore it and walk in the ignorance the world walks in.  Ignorance IS NOT bliss.  When God molded you in your mother’s womb, He had plans for you!  God’s plans are SO much better than ANYTHING we could choose for ourselves!  How sad it is to stand before God and for Him to possibly SHOW us WHAT He had in mind for your life compared to what it is you decided to choose for yourself.  Now THAT makes me wince!  The Bible says in 2 Corinthians (as stated above) verses 5-10:

“So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.”

GOD DESIRES TO BLESS YOU.

You can’t out give God!  There is tremendous blessing in obedience!  The Bible says in Psalm 34:8:

“Taste and see that the Lord is good!”

People’s views wax and wain. Friendships come and go.  God is never changing, always faithful. What is more important to you? The acceptance and approval of others or the love and devotion and commitment of a God who said in Deuteronomy 31:6:

“I will never leave nor forsake you?”

Why do we put so much value on the opinions and thoughts of others, than of a God who has more than proven His faithfulness and His love?

We get to choose who we will listen to and perhaps we need to pray that the voice of the Holy Spirit would drown out the voices of opposition that surround us (especially in these last days) and help us tune in with a sensitive frequency to the Father.  Train our ears to hear Him, our eyes to see Him and our hearts to receive ALL that God is saying, revealing and wanting us to see.

“Father, thank You for Your faithfulness.  Thank You for being steadfast.  Thank You for never changing.  Thank You for being reliable.  Thank You for never leaving or forsaking me, even when I choose to allow my head to turn at the opinions and words of others when I know You are telling me to keep my eyes focused on You.  Strengthen me Father, and help me to obey You over ALL others, help me to stay focused upon You.  Protect my mind, my heart, my eyes, my ears and keep me stayed in the center of Your will. Help me to understand You better… I love You Father and I CHOOSE YOU.  Be glorified in my life, so that at the end of my life when I stand before You, I will know that I walked in accordance to Your will (not people’s) for the life I had given over to You.  Help me not to miss my blessings in You.  I love You Father.  I CHOOSE YOU.  In Jesus’ precious name I pray, AMEN.”
