When you choose to personally acknowledge Jesus as Savior, make the choice of making Him Lord over your life, Holy Spirit comes into the very heart of you and begins to either “clean out” or “rearrange” a few things… He is also called the “Spirit of Truth” as indicated in John 16:13:
“When the Spirit of Truth comes, He will guide you into all the truth.”
All of a sudden or overtime (regarding what it is He is revealing to you), you will begin to see things in a discerning sense. Spiritually blind eyes will have a new focus and things will give you a new perspective in a way you didn’t have… Holy Spirit will deepen your physical senses as you begin to pray:
“Lord, please give me eyes to see, ears to hear and a heart to receive ALL you want me to know.”
It is not really something I can find words to adequately write because it’s personal – and what God has determined He wants me to focus on maybe totally different than what He wants to show you… After all, it’s personal. He really IS a personal kind of God. As Holy Spirit takes residence within the very heart of you, changes take place. You will not be the same person you were prior to accepting Jesus into your heart. The Bible tells us in Galatians 2:20:
“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”
Part of the transformation is the overwhelming peace, love and joy that now fills your heart! You begin to know without a shadow of a doubt that:
GOD LOVES YOU!
And not only to bask in the knowledge of that love, but it fills the very heart of you to the point where you feel it is overflowing! This is what God originally had in mind when He created man! We were made to be in close fellowship with Him! To love and be loved by Him! True completeness is found IN experiencing God’s love, by accepting His gift of salvation!
God wants you to know that His love is not temporary, that He does not love in an inconsistent manner as people do! God’s love is true! God’s love is stable! God’s love is dependable! You can rely on Him! You can be yourself with Him! A relationship is something that is a TWO way street! God desires a deep relationship with you! Growing your personal relationship with Him is the very BEST decision you can make. What do we know about God’s love? Well, if you open up your Bible or even “Google” scriptures on God’s love – you will encounter the following:
Romans 5:8 tells us:
“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
1 John 4:9-10 tells us:
“This is how God showed His love among us: He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him. This is love: Not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.”
And in Ephesians 3:18-19:
“And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to fully understand. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.”
And of course there is John 3:16 that tells us:
“God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish but have everlasting life.”
GOD’S LOVE NEVER FAILS
GOD’S LOVE NEVER CHANGES
HIS MERCIES ARE NEW EVERY DAY
GOD IS FAITHFUL
My prayer is that you will personally come to know His love, walk in the fullness of His joy. Allow God to love you! Be receptive of His love! Walk IN His love EVERY day of your life. Feel His presence in sunshine and in rain, in sickness and in pain! Knowing that WHATEVER you go through in life, He is with you, because HE IS! Psalm 46:1 tells us:
“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”
And in those times when you are hard-pressed, when you feel alone – that you choose to acknowledge how you are feeling, but to know that we are not to be led by our feelings – but by faith. You can talk to God like you are talking to a close friend. Pour your heart out to Him. Guess what?
HE’S LISTENING
HE LOVES YOU AND HE CARES
Ol’ Slewfoot wants you to doubt God’s love. Wants you to think that God doesn’t care. Wants you to think and feel as though you are alone. Why would we believe someone who is known to be “the father of lies”? Who is called “the accuser”? Who has made it clear that he despises you because God loves you? And the devil hates EVERYTHING/ONE that the Father loves!
We need to decide whose report we are going to believe and choose to believe the Truth, which comes from the Spirit of God. Whatever you are going through in life, Jesus is there. He knows and He knows on a personal experience because He experienced it Himself, and even right now at this VERY moment, Jesus is seated at the right-hand of the Father INTERCEDING on YOUR behalf! He is called the Advocate! 1 John 2:1-2 says:
“And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.”
Beloved Reader, you are NOT alone! Even if you aren’t able to find the words to adequately describe what is on your heart, what you are experiencing or feeling – it is okay! God ALREADY knows! Don’t believe me? Take a look below at Psalm 139:1-16:
“Lord, You have examined me and know all about me. You know when I sit up and when I get up. You know my thoughts before I think them. You know where I go and where I lie down. You know everything I do. Lord, even before I say a word, You already know it. You are all around me – in front and in back – and have put Your hand on me. Your knowledge is amazing to me; it is more than I can understand. Where can I go to get away from Your Spirit? Where can I run from You? If I go up to the Heavens, You are there. If I lie down in the grave, You are there. If I rise with the sun in the east and settle in the west beyond the sea, even there You guide me. With Your right hand You would hold me. I could say, “the darkness will hide me. Let the light around me turn to night.” but even the darkness is not dark to You. The night is as light as the day; darkness and light are the same to You. You made my whole being; You formed me in my mother’s body. I praise You because You made me in an amazing wonderful way. What You have done is wonderful. I know this very well. You saw my bones being formed as I took shape in my mother’s body. When I was put together there, You saw my body as it was formed. All the days planned for me were written in Your book before I was one day old.”
Does that sound like a God who doesn’t know you? Who doesn’t love you? It certainly doesn’t sound like the love the world has to offer does it?
YOU ARE PRECIOUS TO GOD
You are not alone. He is with you. That’s something that at times we need to just verbally repeat and believe, because it is the God’s honest truth.
“Father, even during the times when I can’t FEEL Your love, I know You are there. You are not a God that You would lie. You say in Your Word that You will never leave nor forsake me. You said that You have made me the head and NOT the tail. You have said that You are an ever present help in time of trouble. Thank You Father! Thank You Jesus! Thank You Holy Spirit! Please forgive me for the times where I have doubted Your presence. Please forgive my disbelief. Father, please give me eyes to see, ears to hear and a heart to receive ALL You I need to build a closer relationship with You. My deepest desire is to be in the very center of Your will for my life. Thank You Father for Your love. I love You. In Jesus’ precious name I pray.
AMEN.”
