God’s Got You and He’s NEVER Going to Let You Go!

Confusion and discord are not of God. Instead of trying to contemplate someone else’s heart we need to spend more time working on our own. I am so thankful that I serve a God Who knows my EVERY thought before I even think it! (That’s kind of humbling, isn’t it? LOL). He has become the very center of my life and every day I wake up eager for Him to show me MORE  of Who He is and who He has called me to be. To dig deeper. Ol slewfoot tries to keep us distracted from what God’s purpose is in our lives because He knows that if we allow the Holy Spirit free reign in our lives God WILL be glorified, so he tries to get us to trip over our spiritual feet and get side tracked or caught up in our own insecurities or pain or just plain distracted from what it is God wants us to do. For some reason I keep turning this year to the story of Jesus calling Peter out into the water. As long as Peter kept his eyes and mind on Jesus – He was fine! He was walking on top of water! (Can you picture that?) But when Peter lost focus he began to sink! Can I humbly tell you I have sunk MANY times myself? Taking my eyes off Jesus and worrying about my circumstances? As I’ve sunk in waters over my head and thought surely I was going to die here comes the hand of my Savior plunged deep within the waters to pull me out! Thank God for His patience, His mercy, His forgiveness, His grace AND His love! We need to keep our eyes on Him – don’t worry about what He is or isn’t doing with someone else, just focus on your walk with Him. You’ll never walk alone. Jesus told Peter in Matthew 16:18:

“And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

Surely as God had Peter, and if you let Him, He’s got you and He’s never going to let you go. 😉 \0/ \0/ \0/
