God is ALWAYS Our Source

One of the things that I have become aware of as one of God’s Called Remnant is that not only are our eyes supposed to remain on Him, but God IS our everything.  He is our Father, He is our Teacher, He is our Provider, He is our Healer – everything we need Him to be, HE IS.  I cannot say it enough – we were created to worship our Creator.  And the overwhelming joy that will flood your soul when you spend time thinking how GOOD God is!  How forgiving! How merciful!  How graceful!  How loving!  If you just start of your day with praising Him for Who He is and think on ALL the things He has brought you through (some of which you don’t even know because He has kept you in ways you cannot see or fathom).  We only see in part – God sees in full and we are in the middle of a fierce spiritual battle that is waring ALL around us.  Yet God has His angels waring on our behalf.  God uses people as His vessels to grow us, to bless us.  The one thing we have got to remember – is God is ALWAYS our source.  There are ample examples of people in the Bible when made aware of angels helping them, would bow down in awe and the angels would correct them.  The Apostle John gave an example of this in Revelations 19:10:

“Then I fell down at his feet to worship him, but he said to me, “You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brethren who hold the testimony of Jesus. Worship God.” “

It is a good thing to be thankful that God sends help our way – but He is the source, it comes in the forms of vessels – be it angels or people who allow themselves to be vessels FOR God.  I say this because we are an imperfect people, if we have accepted Jesus as our Savior, made Him Lord OVER our lives and are striving to do His good and perfect will in our lives – live according to whatever the calling He has placed on our lives, sensitive to Holy Spirit’s direction, always aware of the fact that “we are works in progress.”  As long as we have breath in our bodies, and are sensitive to Holy Spirit, God is growing us – transforming our minds.  According to Galatians 2:20 (one of my favorite scriptures):

“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”

We have to keep our calling and God’s purpose for us front and center in our hearts and minds.  We have to be sensitive to the direction of Holy Spirit.  This can be so hard, because as many of us like routine and get comfortable where we are at – and get caught up in familiarity or even fall back into what the world sees as “success.” Worldly items, worldly accolades that take our eyes off of what God is saying to us and on to what the world is seducing us towards.  The Bible tells us in Matthew 6:19-21:

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.  For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

What is God saying to you?  How is He directing you?  What is it He is calling you to do?  How is He calling you to be His vessel in the lives of those around you?  You *may* be the only example of God’s love in the lives of those around you.  Are they seeing you or are they seeing Jesus?  Are you being sensitive to the call that God has placed upon your life or are you being swayed by the things of the world?  Remember that is the devil’s goal to keep you distracted from ALL that God is calling you to do.

WHAT IS GOD CALLING YOU TO DO?  DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT IS?  ARE YOU WALKING IN YOUR DESTINY IN HIM?

Whatever we do in our lives, we are to remember that we do it UNTO Christ, NOT unto people.  At the end of our lives, we will give an account for how we treated people, how we served in the roles God brought us to touch lives and what our focus was on – was it on the world? Was it on people?  Or did we constantly check our hearts, our minds and souls to make sure our focus was on God’s purpose and God’s calling on our lives. Did we allow Christ to be magnified in us? Did we allow that to become the number one desire of our heart?  Did we allow ourselves to be transformed by Holy Spirit? How can we gauge where we are in our hearts in minds at this point in our lives?  We can do a heart-check:

“Father God, thank You for all You have done, all You are doing and all You are going to do in my life.  Forgive me for the times when I have lost focus and allowed the world to “woo” me and to entice me to focus on it and not on You.  Help me to remember that every good thing I have comes from You.  Father I thank You for EVERY vessel You have brought into my life to grow me, to bless me, to make me feel Your presence and love – help me to be EVER cognizant of the fact that ALL BLESSINGS COME FROM YOU.  Help me not to be seduced by the temptations in this world but to stay focused on what it is Your will and Your calling is to be on my life.  I know the things of this world are only temporary, so help me stay on track with what is eternal.  What Your purpose (not the world’s) is for my life.  Help me to have a heart for You in ALL I do.  Help me to love as You love and to BE that vessel that You have called me to be.  If there be ANYTHING displeasing in me to You, I pray that You help me to change it.  Give me ears to hear You, eyes to see You and a heart to receive ALL that You are saying and guiding me in.  Help me to ALWAYS keep front and center in my mind that I belong to YOU and am called to serve You.  And there is NO greater joy than being in the center of YOUR will.  Help me please to stay focused.  Thank You Father for fulfilling Your destiny for this life which I have given over to You.  In Jesus precious name I pray Amen.”

There is NO greater joy than to be used by God in the life of someone else, what a privilege that God would use us to be called for His purpose wherever we are, whatever He has called us to do.  But it is ALSO a responsibility to remember to redirect people to Him.  Not to have them focus on you.  Sometimes people look at us with “admiration” or “want to be like us” but what they are seeing is CHRIST in YOU.  It is important that we make sure that we redirect those that are in our lives to God.  What they see is CHRIST in us – what their spirit is crying out for is to be in a relationship with God (even if they are not aware of it).  We were created to be in fellowship with our Creator (God) and deep within the heart of EACH one of us is a God-given craving that can only be satiated with Him.  The mistake of the world is that people try to fill that craving up with other things – money, prestige, popularity, etc. what can only satiate it really, is the true purpose that God has created us for – HIM.  And OH the joy that floods our souls when the spiritual blinders are removed and Holy Spirit opens our eyes to see the why of why we were created.  There is NO greater joy than coming to know the Lover of our souls and to accept His gift of love that is only found in accepting Jesus as Savior, making a decision to make Him Lord OVER our lives and determine to walk IN His purpose for our lives.  TRULY fulfill the life He has destined us to live!  It is a huge responsibility, because what we say, how we live, what we do impacts those around us.  Your walk can either direct someone closer to God or detour them from wanting to know Him.  Daily we have to check ourselves to make sure that we are being responsive to what Holy Spirit is telling us to do, how we are to conduct ourselves and to align ourselves and our lives with the perfect purpose and will of God.  Psalm 91:1 says:

“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.”

Psalm 36:7 says:

“How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God!  And the children of men take refuge in the shadow of Your wings.”

Our spirits have GOT to stay sensitive to what God is saying to us and in order for that to be the case we have to be diligent to listen to WHAT God is saying to us and not allow the voices of the world to be louder than what God is saying.  This is a constant battle as we war against our own voice, the voice of the world and the voice of Holy Spirit.  We HAVE to purpose that we will submit to whatever it is Holy Spirit is telling us.  And in doing so, we will remain in God’s perfect peace and remember that He WILL fulfill His destiny for our lives according to His good will and purpose as long as we seek, serve and worship Him.  He alone IS God. Praise His Holy name. \0/ \0/ \0/
