Everyone in some way is looking for answers, but many refuse to acknowledge the What and the Who that IS the Way, the Truth and the Life often shrugging it off with annoyance and even anger when the Truth is presented to them. How painful it must be to the Father, Who has denied us NOTHING and has given us EVERYTHING – the VERY life of His only begotten Son for His gift of redemption to be rejected by humanity time and time again.
DON’T TELL ME THAT GOD DOESN’T KNOW WHAT REJECTION FEELS LIKE – HE MOST CERTAINLY DOES!
If you are reading the words to this post, Holy Spirit has led you hear for the VERY reason of changing your mind and seeing the truth of the Word of God. It is the TOTAL reason why He chose me to be His Scribe, my very hopes and prayers is that in reading these posts and allowing Holy Spirit to soften your heart and see that the God I serve is a loving, caring, forgiving, merciful, patient Father Who desires SO much for you to enter into a personal relationship with Him –
BECAUSE HE LOVES YOU!
As part of God’ Called Remnant, a Born-again believer and true follower of Christ, I wish with all my heart that I could press upon you how wonderful His love is! Have you ever been in love? If so, can you recall the warmth and happiness and joy that flooded your soul whenever you were around, saw or spent time with the object of your affection? As if you were the ONLY two people in the world who shared this wonderous connection? Well, if you multiply that wonderful feeling times one billion – you can get a “taste” of what it feels like to be “in love” with the One Who is Love Himself! It’s the ONLY way I can describe it! And it’s SO personal! The Lover of your soul created you so He knows EVERY detail about who you are and who He created you to be!
HE CREATED YOU FOR A REASON! YOU HAVE A CALLING, A PURPOSE THAT GOD WANTS YOU TO DISCOVER! TO WALK IN! AND THERE IS NO GREATER FULFILLING PURPOSE THAN FINDING OUT JUST WHAT THAT PURPOSE IS AND WALKING IN IT!
That is what we are meant to do with our lives, fulfill whatever our purpose is IN CHRIST, using all the talents that God has given us to glorify His name! And the best way to do that is to SEEK Him and ASK Him and He WILL reveal it to you! I remember being so astonished that what the Father wanted me to do was something I had ALWAYS done throughout my life – WRITE! I remember His words to me exactly as I sought Him to discover what He had in mind when He created me in my mother’s womb. These were His Fatherly affection words to me, honestly, I felt as though he actually affectionately “tweaked my nose” with His response:
“Kelly, the answer is as plain as the nose on your face.”
What is it Father? What have You called me to do with my life?”
“I have called you to write.”
“To write???? But that is something I have done ALL my life!”
“Exactly.”
It had never occurred to me that something I had done in my free time as a hobby, or just to express myself via a diary, journal, short story or poem was to become MORE than something I “just did.” Sometimes what God is calling you to do is something that you never so more than that – but it is!
MUCH MORE!
And that was not only the case with me, but if you look at who Jesus called to become His Apostles it was the same! Jesus told Peter and Andrew that He would make them “fishers of men”! Never in their wildest dreams did they think they would be called by the Messiah to fulfill such a purpose! And might I add – thank You Father that they did! We are ALL benefiting from reading their testimonies and experiences within the written Word of God! Decades and centuries later!
THERE IS PURPOSE THAT GOD WANTS YOU TO FULFILL THAT WILL CHANGE LIVES! WILL YOU DO IT? WILL YOU SEEK HIM TO FIND OUT JUST WHAT THAT PURPOSE IS?
I will tell you that I would write and fulfill my calling as a Scribe for the LORD if just ONE person benefited from my words. Just ONE soul accepted Jesus’ sacrifice, God’s gift of redemption through His shed blood on the cross. I would continue to write if NO ONE read my words, because God has called me to write and I write of what I have personally experienced – His deep and abiding love. The words Holy Spirit gives me to write are truth! They are life!
WRITING IS MY WORSHIP OF LOVE TO THE ONE WHO HAS GIVEN ME EVERYTHING, STOOD BY ME, LOVED ME, FORGIVEN ME, WASHED ME CLEAN, NEVER LEAVES! AND SO MUCH MORE!
I can’t “make you love Him” but I know deep within your very soul these words of resonating with you… There is an ache deep inside of you that wants to experience the love I am writing about… You have tried to fill that part of you with things or people that have only left you aching for MORE. There is a VERY part of you that was created to be filled by the One Who created you because you were created to be in fellowship with Him and NOTHING else can adequately fill what was meant to be filled by ONLY Him.
THE LOVER OF YOUR SOUL
This weekend I came across a scripture I had never seen before (which is such the case with the Living Word of God…) It is found in Proverbs 20:27:
“The Soul of man is the candle of God”
I love that, don’t you? Rise and allow Holy Spirit to shine the candle deep within you up and out of the darkness of this world. Be the one who allows others to see the light of Christ within you, so that they can see the light He has put within them as well. Many candles together form a great light which is very much needed in this dark world! Don’t allow the world to extinguish the God given light within you! Recognize it! Determine in your heart to fulfill your destiny in Christ, for that alone is where true purpose and love is found – IN HIM!
