I received a strong Word from Holy Spirit this morning and I want to share it with those of you who are enduring tremendous spiritual battle on ALL fronts of your life, especially those that are feeling disheartened, discouraged and defeated. 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 tells us:
“We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed.”
This is the Word that Holy Spirit gave me this morning and I know that there are many of my brothers and sisters in Christ who have been experiencing intense warfare, please allow Holy Spirit to speak to your heart with what He told me, not only for myself but for you who stand with me in Christ, these are the words I heard Him say:
“Why is your countenance downcast? Why are you allowing yourself to walk in the spirit of defeat? Have I not told you that greater am I that is in you than he that is within the world? Whose report are you choosing to believe? If you are believing and trusting in Me than you need not to drop to your knees in despair but in prayer. Worship Me! Believe My Word! Trust in Me! Have I failed you ever? Have you taken your eyes off of Me and started to sink in the sea of the situation(s)? Child of Mine, I have not left you. I have not been surprised by the enemies tactics! Rise up in the blood bought victory that has been purchased for you! Look upon My Word that I have provided you with to battle, are you wielding the Sword of the Spirit? Is your Helmet of Salvation firmly on your head? Is the breast plate of righteousness in place upon your front? Are you girded up with the belt of truth? Are your feet covered with the preparation of the gospel? Are you raising your shield of faith up high??? I have you covered! The only thing you need to do is walk in Me! Believe My Word! Trust that all of your days I have ordained, not one ever catches me unaware or by surprise! Now gird yourself up tighter with that belt. Child YOU ARE Mine. No weapon formed against you shall prosper! Hear Me! Hear Me! Hear Me!”
Thus saith the Lord! I don’t know about you beloved child of the MOST High God, but my countenance has changed! I am standing firm in Holy Spirit! All of the above that Holy Spirit gave me can be found in Ephesians chapter 6-10-18. If you haven’t read it, read it below – if you have read it, re-read it! Ask Holy Spirit to speak a personal Word to your heart, as He has mine.
“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints.”
Ask for a discerning spirit, ask for wisdom! Ask for guidance! All of which your Father will freely give to you! Fill yourself up with scriptures that assure you of the victory you have in Christ! 2 Kings 6:16 is for us in this day as well! Remember it IS the Living Word of God!
“Fear not, for they that are with us are more than they that are with them.”
Ol’ slewfoot IS the author of deception, remember? And the “mirage-like” defeated situations you think are HUGE are really NOT. God will use what you are going through to serve a purpose. It may not be one that He reveals to you, but if you are interceding on behalf of someone(s), if you are praying for the salvation of those that are spiritually blind or weak in spirit – than you can trust that you are praying in line with the Word of God! Think about your own walk in Christ, take a look at what it took for God to bring you to a point where you had no where else to turn! Prayers of intercession can bring situations that are uncomfortable, because sometimes it is in THAT discomfort that one realizes that the ONLY thing that matters is found in Christ!
IT IS ONLY IN CHRIST JESUS THAT SALVATION IS FOUND
IT IS TIME FOR YOU TO CHANGE YOUR MIND – ALLOW HOLY SPIRIT TO TRANSFORM AND RENEW IT
1 Corinthians 2:14 tells us:
“But thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere.”
Deuteronomy 20:4 tells us:
“For the Lord your God is He who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory.”
Philippians 4:13 tells us:
“I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.”
If God is for you (and He is) than nothing can prosper against you. The mind is our battlefield and the enemy knows it. Every time you start feeling discouraged or disheartened, though the feelings are real – God IS Realer! It is times like those where I have to fill myself with the Word of God. It was written and given to us for that VERY reason! Remember, Hebrews 4:12 tells us:
“For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”
It’s okay to admit that your knees are trembling behind your armor, that is a sign that you recognize that your strength to fight is not in yourself but in God, Who has called us to such a time as this! Remember Zechariah 4:6 tells us:
“”Not by might, nor by power, but by MY Spirit.” Says the Lord.”
In Him we live, we move and have our being. So exhale stress, exhale worry, exhale discouragement or whatever it is that is lowering your countenance and inhale God’s Word so that it will feed your spirit and strengthen you to continue on in Him that has called us! Remember that Colossians 2:15 informs us of what Jesus did:
“He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him.”
The enemy does not like to be reminded of that, but dear reader – the truth is we STAND in the victory Jesus purchased with His blood on the cross and He wants us to walk in that victory. Rise up! Lift your chin! Straighten up your back! Walk boldly! Walk in confidence in the One who has called you! YOU are a child of the UTMOST High God! Your victory is found in Him! Rejoice and Praise His Holy Name!
