A brand new day had dawned and it was time for her to get out of bed and dip her toes in the waters of the day. Slowly drawing the covers of her bed back, she sat up, shifting her legs over the side of her bed, preparing to take her first step of day. Unbeknown to her, angels assigned to her by the Father waited in anticipation for her day to begin, so that she could go about the Father’s will.
“What do you think she will choose today?” One angel said to another.
“We will just have to wait and see…” The other said, as they watched in anticipation.
She sat legs dangling off the side of her bed, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes. Then she spoke:
“Father God, thank You for blessing me with a brand new sheet of life to write upon…. Help me to glorify Your name and to write well…Please have Your angels go before me, behind me and beside me. Lead me Holy Spirit…”
As she dipped her toe in the water of the new day, rings of movement stirred up the previously calm waters as she stepped out onto the waters.
“Will she sink or swim today?” The first angel whispered again to the other, as Holy Spirit prompted them to respond by cue to her prayer to do so. They went before her, behind her and beside her as she rose.
“That depends on whether she chooses to walk forward in faith or whether she chooses to allow the worries of this world consume her.” The other responded.
“This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”
She spoke quoting Psalm 118:24 as she took another step out on to her day. Her feet above the water. Holy Spirit ministering Words of promise to her heart.
Smiling in joy, the angels stepped as she stepped. “It’s a swim day.” The first angel chuckled in delight.
“I think it is indeed.” The other angel said laughing, as off they went accompanying their charge.

Every day we choose what our spiritual mindset will be… Peter was able in Matthew 14:22-33 to walk ON water as long as His eyes were focused upon Jesus. It was only when he took his eyes off of Jesus and on to his situation that he began to sink, and even then in God’s mercy and love, Jesus reached out His hand to catch Him. As Jesus did with Peter, He does with us through His Spirit. Every morning that we awake, we are given the choice to trust in God or to allow the worries of our day to drag us down into a sea of unbelief. Which will you choose? Not only every morning, but every moment we have to make a decision to keep our focus on Jesus, to walk BY faith and NOT by sight. God IS the Author and Finisher of our faith and in Him we trust. Will you trust Him to keep you above the waters of life? It is a constant choice to be made. Let’s choose to walk on top of the water with our eyes on Him, because He’s got us – as long as we allow Him to do so. He’s reaching for us during those sinking moments, giving us the opportunity to extend our arms out to His grasp and to try try again. Thank God for His mercy, His forgiveness, His grace and His love that carries us above ANY waters we encounter. Ready? Set? Here we go! Take a step of faith! Your Father is RIGHT there with you – EVERY step of the way. \0/ \0/ \0/
