Whoever you are reading this, I want to relay to you that God created you with a purpose! You are as unique as a fingerprint! You are fearfully and wonderfully made! It doesn’t matter how your conception came about –
GOD CREATED YOU WITH A PURPOSE – IN LOVE!
You may not feel that way, you may scoff at those words, but it’s true! It is also true that we have a common enemy who doesn’t want you to discover what that purpose is! Even writing this from a point where I know God created me to be a scribe for Him, I combat the spirit of delay in being obedient to that calling! It IS an uphill battle sometimes and I struggle to “apply the seat of my pants to the seat of my chair” and write. But fulfilling my destiny in Christ is the deepest desire of my heart and it requires obedience. Once God has revealed to you what purpose He has created you to fulfill, it is your responsibility to walk IN that calling and fulfill that purpose. And what is crazy about it is there is NO greater joy than fulfilling that purpose! Knowing that you are allowing yourself to be a vessel to Holy Spirit to fulfill that purpose! The joy that floods your soul is indescribable. I never know who Holy Spirit will direct to my website, how He will utilize the words He inspires me to write, perhaps I will know when I cross over to the other side – but ALL that matters is that I fulfill that purpose! If my words encourage even just ONE person to desire (and act on that desire) to know Jesus personally, make the most important decision they will EVER make – accepting Him as their Savior, making Him LORD OVER their life, I will feel as though my life in Him mattered. In the end the ONLY thing that will last for ALL eternity is what you did in Christ.
I WISH I could GIVE my love for the Lord to EVERY person who Holy Spirit brings to this page, but I can’t. It is a very personal decision and because God created us will free-will, you have to make the choice for Jesus on your own accord. But if you are reading this and you feel a longing in your soul that hasn’t been fulfilled by anything in your life, I can tell you that deep in the center of the core of you is the need to know your Creator. You were created with the purpose of having a personal, fulfilling and deep relationship with the One Who created you IN LOVE. He TRULY is the Lover of your soul! The only thing I can say to you is to just pray:
“God, I want to KNOW You! IF You are real, I need You to make Yourself REAL to ME!”
And I promise you, with everything I am – HE WILL!
I know whoever you are reading these words they are resonating in your soul. Because the truth is – what you are hungry for NOTHING in this world can fill inside of you. Not money, not social status, not drugs, not sex, not alcohol, not people – these are to name just a few. Your soul is crying out to know God and NOTHING but accepting His invitation to know Him will satisfy that craving inside of you! My prayer for you is that you “scratch that itch” that you decide to “taste and see that the LORD is good!” Because He is!!!!
Once He reveals to you what your calling is, the battle becomes fulfilling it! The enemy will cause you to doubt you can fulfill your purpose. He will try to distract you with things of the world, doubt that you have what it takes to fulfill it! Try to delay you, keep you from that purpose. Listen – whatever talents God has given you to walk in that purpose He WILL work through you to do it! But it takes commitment, it takes actual actions! There is SOMEONE who needs whatever it is God has given you that calling to know Him! To grow in Him! The calling will certainly bless you, but there is a higher reason WHY He has called you to do whatever that purpose is!
GOD WORKS THROUGH PEOPLE – HE USES PEOPLE!
There IS a purpose which only YOU can fulfill! And it is of an eternal matter! That purpose may something you have done all your life that you thought was of no consequence! I can tell you that since I was a child I thought that purpose was acting! I took acting classes, I trained to become an actress, I thought that was what I was to become! At the age of 21 I accepted Jesus as my Savior, made Him LORD OVER my life! You can read my testimony by clicking on the link below. The plans I had for my life were not the plans God had for me and I didn’t know that until I decided to seek HIS will for my life.

The Bible tells us in Proverbs 16:9:
“The heart of man plans his way, but the LORD establishes his steps.”
Proverbs 19:21 tells us:
“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails.”
You have to determine to seek God with your WHOLE heart! Hold NOTHING back from Him! Determine to seek HIS will for your life!
In my case, once I decided to seek Him for HIS will for my life, my conversation with Him went like this:
“Father God, what IS Your will for my life? Is my calling to go forward with acting? I desire to be in the center of your will.”
His affectionate response to me was this:
“Kelly, it is as plain as the nose on your face.”
(God has a sense of humor, I almost felt like He was “tweaking my nose” as His loving voice said this to me.)
I quizzically said to Him:
“LORD, I don’t understand? What have You called me to do if it is not acting?”
Now, let me make say I say this – acting can be used as a vessel for God as can any certain activity God desires to use. But in my case, He softly responded:
“I have called you to write.”
My eyebrows went up in surprise, because ever since I could write, I wrote in diaries, journals, short stories, plays. It was always a way I expressed my feelings. It was just something I always did. I didn’t think much of it because it was natural. You see, sometimes it IS as plain as the nose on YOUR face. It may be something that you have done ALL YOUR LIFE, something you never thought much of – it was just something you did. Something you enjoyed. What I am trying to convey is that sometimes the calling that God has for you to do, is something you have ALREADY done! Something you find satisfaction in doing! A natural talent! A desire! A focus! And I can tell you that there TRULY is NO greater joy than finding that purpose and walking in it!
WRITING IS MY WORSHIP!
What is it that God is saying to you through these words? If you don’t know what purpose He has for you, ASK HIM! He is not hiding it from you; He wants you to discover it! And if you already HAVE discovered it, purpose in your heart that NOTHING will keep you from fulfilling that purpose!
GOD WANTS TO USE YOU TO FURTHER HIS KINGDOM
If your life feels lacking, if you are feeling frustrated, irritated, unfulfilled Holy Spirit is prompting you to go deeper.
DON’T BE AFRAID TO GO DEEPER!
To live a life that has eternal value is the GREATEST way to live! What an honor to know that God is invested in you! That He wants to use you as His vessel to further His kingdom! Don’t miss it! Don’t let the enemy try to dissuade you from finding out WHAT that purpose is and then walk in it! Remember, it is Christ IN you! Holy Spirit IS your Teacher, your Guide, your Comforter Who will give you ALL the tools and direction you need to fulfill that purpose! Your job is to allow Him to complete a good work in you.
