I have a Word of knowledge that I am feeling led to share, although truth be told I am trying myself to understand the message for it is one that needs to be shared… Holy Spirit whispered in my ear last night that many of us are missing what it is that God is trying to teach us, what Holy Spirit whispered to me was this:
“Are You Out of Order with God?”
Now, Holy Spirit never yells at me, His voice is always calm and quiet, yet the question kept occurring over and over in my head. I didn’t understand it at first, but as I prayed and thought about it – this is what I am coming to understand… The enemy has always tried to make us believe that God is holding out on us. If you read the book of Genesis, it is clear that the deception of Adam and Eve was successful because Eve and Adam listened to the lies of the devil. Take a look at Genesis 3:1-7:
“Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?” The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’” “You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil. “When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it, then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.”
We tend to look at Adam and Eve with disdain, but we do the SAME thing Adam and Eve did – we doubt God. We believe God holds out on us. How deeply we hurt God time and time again. God has held NOTHING back from us at any time, even choosing to leave the glories of Heaven to meet us right here where we are at! Born of the virgin Mary, Jesus lived a sin-less life, took on the sins of the world (yours and mine) died on the cross for forgiveness of OUR sins, rose from the dead and is now seated at the right hand of the Father interceding on OUR behalf. Holy Spirit works tirelessly to help us come to the realization of God’s GREATEST gift – redemption! And all we need to do is accept His gift of salvation!
I’ve come to realize that we often give God “the short end of the stick” when He has done EVERYTHING possible to show us how much He loves us.
YET STILL WE REJECT HIM. STILL WE (AS DID EVE AND ADAM) THINK THAT GOD IS HOLDING OUT ON US. WHEN ALL GOD EVER WANTED WAS FOR US TO KNOW THAT HE LOVES US AND TO LOVE HIM IN RETURN.
So, I Ask you a question that I have found myself asking myself – is God out of order in your life?
I’m going to take this to a more personal level so that perhaps Holy Spirit will be able to give you the clarity of mind that He has been helping me to achieve… Are you ready to go deeper? Here we go:
GOD IS LOVE.
Love IS God and love is FROM God. In the course of the last three months, I lost first my husband and then my mother. They died… To say I was devastated does not come close to touching the anguish and pain I have experienced this year, the two most important people in my life – gone. Listen, life can turn on a dime – the ONLY sure thing in this life is GOD. God will NEVER leave you NOR forsake you. This is where your trust and your faith have GOT to come in.
EVERYTHING ELSE IN LIFE IS TEMPORAL – GOD IS EVER PRESENT
LOVE DOES NOT DIE
What have I learned over the last few months? That it is absolutely necessary to put my faith in God and God alone. We MUST put God first in our lives. We MUST depend upon Him and Him alone. We were created to be in fellowship with God. He IS a GOOD Father! We must remember that it was NEVER God’s will for us to experience sorrow. For us to experience death or sickness or illness or disease or pain and suffering. If it causes us so much anguish – can you imagine how much MORE it causes anguish to the Father? Think about it and try not to put God so far up that you cannot see that God has feelings. Remember we were created in His image.
GOD FEELS
As a parent, there is NOTHING I would NOT do for my kids. However, my kids have free will – they get to choose how they will live, what they will do, they have to have their own journeys. There have been choices and decisions that they have made that I can do NOTHING about. They have caused me immense pain and heartache at times, but at the same time there have been times when they have filled me with joy and a love beyond anything I can write. My point is – if we feel such with our children that God has blessed us with – how much MORE does God feel with us?
HE IS OUR FATHER
Whether we choose to have a relationship with Him or not is up to us. He has done EVERYTHING to show us His love. John 3:16 tells us:
“God so loved the world that He gave His ONLY begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall NOT perish but have everlasting life.”
GOD GAVE US HIS SON!
Would YOU give YOUR child’s life to save someone else’s??? Think long and hard on this – most of us would say, “absolutely not!” Be honest. Then ask yourself, what MORE could God possibly DO or GIVE to show us how very much He loves us???? And yet STILL many reject His gift! Many reject the sacrifice Jesus made to restore a right relationship with the Father.
Let me put it another way – God loves you SO much, wants you to KNOW and EXPERIENCE His love SO Much that He left the glories of Heaven to come down and meet you RIGHT here where you are at! It doesn’t get ANY MORE personal than that! He LEFT the GLORIES of Heaven! Was born of the virgin Mary, lived and walked a sin-less life amongst us! Chose to take OUR sins upon Himself and die a horrible, painful, excruciating death on the cross in order to restore a RIGHT relationship with the Father FOR YOU (and for me)! Jesus is the 2nd part of the Trinity – God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Three in One!
Just like our earthly children get to choose how they will live life – WE get to choose. We can choose a life rejecting God’s gift. We can choose to live “how WE want” – just as Adam and Eve made a choice to disobey God’s instructions, with the free will God created them with they chose what THEY wanted and not God’s best for them. We can choose a life without God and therefore choose (because we are a body that has a soul and also a spirit) when we die to have an eternal life without God (and it would be OUR choice with OUR free will, not God’s choice for us). What will you choose? Truly it is the most important decision you will ever make. Because we were not originally created to die, we tend to try to put the thought of death to the side – not think about it or want to talk about it. But the truth is, we are not promised tomorrow.
EVERY MOMENT THAT WE HAVE IS A GIFT FROM GOD. ONE THAT MOST OF US TAKE FOR GRANTED UNTIL THAT MOMENT WHEN WE HAVE TO FACE OUR MORTALITY COMES FRONT AND CENTER.
Believe me, not only am I a cancer survivor, but in experiencing the loss of my husband and my mother within the matter of three months apart from each other, it has never been clearer to me how important the decision to choose to accept the sacrificial, loving gift of salvation is! I KNOW where my husband and my mother are! They are pain-free! They are with their Creator! They know love BEYOND compare! They are with the Lover of their souls! They have NO more life burdens they carry! When you are facing death or are near death EVERYTHING else takes a step back! The most important thing becomes the here and now. If you have been with someone passing, you know that what I am saying is true! At that point everything else in life is UNIMPORTANT. Eternity is but a breath away. Shouldn’t it be something we consider NOW and NOT wait until then?
The Bible says in Acts 2:17:
“‘And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams;
My son recently had a dream about his grandmother, in his dream his grandmother kissed him on his forehead and said:
“I love you. I am happy and fine. I am with your grandfather, and I can eat ANYTHING I want!”
I smiled when my son told me of his dream, you see – my mother had been a diabetic, she had meticulously for years and years watched what she ate. Now that she is in Heaven, diabetes (sickness) is no longer an issue. Oh, what joy it must be for her to feast at God’s table! To eat whatever her heart desires!
The gift of eternal life is JUST that – a gift. It is one that you can choose to accept OR reject. The choice IS yours. An earthly life where you say:
“I don’t believe I need God. God is a crutch, I don’t believe I have to accept Jesus as Savior, make Him Lord over my life. There are many ways to come to know God. I’m a good person, I live a good life being good to others.”
Jesus tells us in John 14:6:
“Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
And Acts 4:12 tells us:
“And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
John 3:18 tells us:
“Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.”
Also, 2 Corinthians 5:21 says:
“He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”
One of the BIGGEST lies the devil has us believe is that we can “earn” Heaven. Listen, the Old Testament IS proof that man CANNOT earn Heaven! We CANNOT be “good enough” or DO enough “good works” to get into Heaven. It is futile because in one way or another man has ALWAYS failed! It is the reason why God the Father sent His Son to redeem us! Isaiah 64:6 says:
“But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.”
How do I order my life? I raise my hands in surrender to the One Who GAVE me life. God loves you so much more than ANY words I write can express. It is the reason why He has led you to this post!
GOD LOVES YOU! FOR REAL!
He wants you to know that He has done EVERYTHING He can to SHOW you that He loves you! The only thing YOU need to do to experience His love, is accept it! If this is you and if you are willing to surrender to Him, pray with me:
“Father God, if you are REALLY TRULY REAL, I need You to make Yourself real to ME. I need to experience you firsthand for myself! Thank You for hearing this prayer! I desire to know You on a deeper, more personal level, please help me to do so… Forgive me for my sins, wash me with the precious blood of Jesus. Jesus, thank You for taking my sins upon you and for dying on the cross for me. I believe You are the Savior. I desire to make You Lord OVER my life. I choose to accept You into my heart this day. Of my own free will I choose YOU. Holy Spirit You are welcome here! In Jesus’ precious name I pray! Thank You Father, thank You Jesus, thank You Holy Spirit! AMEN!”
I’m quite positive that if you have just prayed that prayer God is filling you with a tremendous amount of peace and joy. The Bible says Luke 15:10:
“In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” “
You have accepted God’s gift of salvation! You have become born-again! Watch and see God make Himself real to you – I promise you, because I personally know – God’s Word is true, God’s love is real and eternal life with Him is putting your life in the RIGHT order and that means turning it over to the One Who gave HIS life for YOU. Proverbs 3:5-6 says:
“Trust in the Lord with ALL your heart; Lean NOT to your own understanding. In ALL your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.”
The RIGHT order is the original order that God originally created us to experience – a life where He is first in it. A life where we are in close communication and relationship with Him. THAT is what God wants for us! THAT is where the “joy that passes ALL understanding” comes in! No matter WHAT we face in life, sickness, illness, death – all of which God NEVER desired for us to experience, but because we live in a fallen world, we DO experience – once we have accepted God’s gift of salvation, we can rest assured that He is with us. Romans 8:35-39 tells us:
“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, for thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Allowing God to order your steps is the very best thing you can do – trust Him and see, He IS a GOOD, GOOD Father and He LOVES you VERY much.
