It isn’t found on a “dating website” or “at a bar” you don’t have to write a summary of who you are and post pictures of yourself in order for you to capture His attention. In fact, He has been trying to “capture” yours since the moment He created you. He loves every hair on your head, every sweet expression. He delights in who you are and waits with great expectation for you to share all your thoughts and desires with Him (even though He already knows what you are thinking). He has written you the GREATEST love letter EVER written and waits with hopeful expectation that you will take time out of your busy day to read it – carefully, because He longs to share with you all HE is. All HE has done and all HE will do if only you determine in your heart to accept His love.
The GREATEST love you’ll ever find is found in the One Who lovingly and thoughtfully knit you together in your mother’s womb (however the situation came to be). You have never been “a mistake” an “inconvenience” or “unwanted.” You were made with a purpose that ONLY you could fulfill. His love comes with growth, comes with change, comes with discovery. His love is everlasting – He will NEVER fail you. NEVER forsake you. He will NEVER leave you. In Him is found joy, peace, fulfillment in a way which you cannot experience unless you let Him in. True intimacy is found ONLY in Him. He loved you enough when He made you to bless you with “free will” (which is only truly freeing when you in turn give your life to Him). He desires your love, your commitment, your taking time to know Him in return, but doesn’t “force” His love upon you, but gives you the choice to accept His gift of love for yourself. It is only in “tasting and seeing how Good He is” that the very part of your heart that has been crying out for something that has always felt beyond reach is satisfied. More than satisfied – you feel cherished, adored, loved as the one of the kind He made you to be. As you allow yourself to come to know Him, you hunger for more of Him. You desire to please Him and live for Him and realize that the world we live in is not the environment He had originated for you. When you realize the extent that He has gone through to show you His love – He left the glories of Heaven, clothed Himself in flesh and entered a sinful world, born of the virgin Mary, walked amongst us and in His TOTAL sacrifice of love and commitment to you – took upon the sins of the world (yours included), died a horribly excruciating death (for you) on the cross, rose from the dead and EVEN now – is seated at the right hand of the Father interceding on behalf of YOU. Why?
BECAUSE HE LOVES YOU!
His ONLY desire is for you to love HIM with all your heart, all your soul and all your mind because He knows that NO ONE will EVER love you, EVER want you like He does, for He IS Love itself. And here is the not-so-secret-I-just-didn’t-see-it fact that once you choose Him above ALL else.
YOU CAN’T OUTLOVE GOD
The more you turn your attention, your life, who you are over to Him – the more He pours out His love on you. You begin to feel cherished, feel satisfied, feel completely loved, no what TRUE intimacy feels like. You desire to please Him, to love Him more, to know Him deeper and as you do (and it is a life learning experience that will last up until your very last breath until upon that last breath you stand before Him with the knowledge that you will be with Him for ALL eternity) you realize He always had your best interests at heart in a way you could never fathom… That He was always working and waiting for you behind the scenes of whatever was going on in your life, waiting for you to notice that He was there. That He wasn’t going anywhere. That YOU were with His wait. His sacrifice. His love. His love is eternal. His love is ALL encompassing. His love fulfills the in most part of you in a way that no person EVER could. He has always wanted the best for you – only when you allow Him in, do you discover HE has always been “the best.”
Unless you take His extended hand (He will never force you) can you know the true extent of this post. Can nod your head in agreement with and say:
“Kelly, you are SO right!”
He truly is the Lover of your soul. He has died for you so that you can live IN Him. Eternal life and true love is ONLY found in accepting His love. He has called you His redeemed. He has stood at the door of your life knocking endlessly – waiting patiently for you to acknowledge Him. To accept His precious, all-encompassing gift of love, If you want to experience the absolute Greatest love there is by choosing to BE in an eternal relationship with Love Himself, pray with me!
“Father God, I WANT to be fulfilled. I WANT to know TRUE intimacy. I WANT to experience love in a way I never have. Is all of what Kelly wrote true? If it is – I NEED you to make Yourself REAL to me. You have caught my attention, something in my heart resonates with these words. I want that kind of love. SHOW me. Reveal Yourself to me. Here is my hand, take it and show me and teach me ALL the things I need to know. Forgive me for only realizing it now – how much I NEED you to fulfill a part of me that NOTHING in this life has EVER been able to fulfill. Forgive me for my sins and show me Your love. I CHOOSE You! Jesus, come into my life and be my Lord and Savior. Let me experience your love! I ask this in Your precious name, Amen.”
If you spoke that from your heart even now your heart is being healed and filled with His love – for unlike people, He will NEVER hold His love back from you. You are about to experience the GREATEST love there is – from and with the One Who IS Love. Here you go!
