Usually, the hardest time, the time when you feel most hard pressed, the time when you are a pinch away from giving in and giving up is the time RIGHT before your blessing. All the time Job was going through he had no idea of the spiritual battle taking place behind the scenes in Heaven. But God knew… Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us:
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, lean NOT to your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.”
The trust part comes when we can’t figure it out ourselves. This is where we don’t lean on our own understanding or try to figure it out ourselves because we are trusting in HIM. This is the test of OUR faith. Our “Job” moment. Ol’ slewfoot whispers in our ear the words of Job’s wife in Job 2:9:
“With everything going on around you, why don’t you curse God and die!”
God always gives us free will to do just that – the choice is ours OR we can stand steadfast and remember Who God IS. He is the Alpha and the Omega. The beginning and the end. He is the lifter of our heads. He is the Way, the Truth AND the Life. He is our redeemer! He is our Savior! He is an “ever present help “in time of trouble.
Maybe the situation you are in is one where no one else has the faith in God to deliver you or bless you with whatever it is you are believing Him for BUT you.

Think about how Noah felt when he stood firm in his faith in God and people LAUGHED at him because of his faith. They mocked him and made fun of him and I’m sure it hurt his feelings. I’m sure (especially because Noah knew that the flood would wipe all those around him out) it must have been so hard to know that he was the one who was right, when everyone else thought he was wrong. He remained steadfast. Look what God did?!
There are many examples of people in the Bible who stood fast in their faith that God would come through for them and they held on. Whatever you are going through, no matter how bad it seems – don’t let go- your blessing could be right around the corner. So close you aren’t even aware of it. The devil wants you to think that just like with people, God is going to disappoint you, fail you, let you down but that is a lie from the pit of hell to get your focus off God and onto your situation. Remember Hebrews 11:1 tells us:
“Faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things unseen.”
We are God’s creation, we were created to fellowship with Him. To be in a relationship with Him. To listen to Him! If you recall the biggest mistake Adam and Eve ever made was going against God’s direction and instruction and going their own way, thinking they knew better than Him. We haven’t changed much, have we? Yet God loves us and redirects us and gives us chance upon chance to be in a relationship with Him by the shed blood of His Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ. As long as we trust in Him He is true to His Word, He will direct our path. He always has our best interest, He IS our best interest. We only have to believe.
Stay steadfast, your steps are God ordained, He knows what He’s doing, which is more than most of us can say for ourselves. He’s got you, just have faith and believe.
